Default Ford Geelong.... Going, Going. Gone...

The latest word , from a very close friend of mine who works at the ford proving ground is that as from the year 2010 ford Australia will not be producing anymore engines.
The big wigs from the US have said that the inline 6 must go and they will be importing their V6 petrol & V6 turbo diesel & maybe V8s. (what will happen to the V8 supercars)
There is also word that in the very near future (maybe 2012) Ford will be importing all of it's cars from the US & Japan

all stamping operations are done in geelong as well as casting.... so I6 engine going wont close geelong.... they'll possibly assemble V6 here anyhow...
Boss motors are assembled in melbourne.

all product engineering is done in geelong, a lot of work is going on in geelong right now.

V8 supercars use windsor V8's from...guess where....the good ole U S of A....

your mate is feeding you with crap

I agree. Why start an arguement when nothing has been said or stated?

This is news how exactly? Seriously I find it difficult to understand how you could be so out of touch!
