Default Problem with the car and due for road worthy tomorrow.

Hi all, just changed the air filter on my corty 4.1L

Went to give it a crank, and a spark shot out of the positive side of the battery terminal.

Now the car won't crank, the interior light works. but no cranking.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Try removing the battery lead, and giving both the lead clamp and the battery terminal a good clean. Sometimes you can have a poor connection that will give you enough power to work the lights but not enough to crank the engine.

Tighten the battery terminal or the wires where they go into the terminal
