Default Good internet plan?

Ive been with my provider now for over a year on a 2 year contract, and yesterday i find out my 'unlimited' quota for the month has been changed to 15gb. First i dont see how they can do this when im on a contract, but whatever. Anyway i was wondering what plans anyone here might be on that has unlimited downloads.

I was on 30kbs average so anything thats around that speed would be fine, and im looking to spend around $80 a month. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If they changed the terms, then you usually have a few weeks to leave from when you are first notified of the change without penalty from leaving the contract early.

This site is a good starting point

consumer affairs will have you unlimited again in no time at all.
the provider has broken a contract, no different if you broke a contract. action would be taken against you.

Read the terms and conditions. There might be clauses in there in regards to changing the contact and the consumers rights if the ISP does change them.

As posted above, check out Whirlpool for your needs, but I use and recommend Internode.
$39.95 per month will get you 512/128 with 8Gb downloads. By what you posted there, sounds like you are on a 256k plan.

yes, contracts can be changed, but not usually to decrease what you are paying for.
example: i had a a mobile from Vodafone a few years ago. i bought it as one of the benifits were the credit lasting a WHOLE year instead of the use it in a month or lose it. (i rarely use mobiles)
anyway, a few months later i went to use the phone and it had no credit. rang them and they said they had changed how long credit lasts. i told them that they cant as it was stipulated that the credit would last a year and since i had bought the phone BEFORE they changed their plans they will have to reimburse my credit.
they said no, consumer affairs said yes.
a month later i get a written appology, my credit back AND extra credit.
this also made it into the newspaper as they had done this to all their customers and were fined very heavily for breaking the 'contract' they had with the customers.

so, contact consumer affairs and see if you have a leg to stand on.

iiNet or Internode ADSL2+ would be the way to go.

Standard practice with ISPs is they change your plan, give you a few weeks - might be as many as 6 weeks to get out no penalty and then you are deemed to have accepted the new terms. You are free to rescind the contract within the specified timeframe after notification.
