A few years back I was sniffing around at Ferrari 400i models (before the prices went stratospheric) and saw one in almost that colour - obviously a repaint. Probably full of rust and bog but I still regret not snagging one - a personal nod to Daft Punk’s Electroma. Think they’d go well with a modern EFI system and GVOD.

What is the white 67-ish American hardtop in the last 90 seconds or so, of Auto Addiction’s latest ‘Ring video? It has taillights a bit like the HJ-HZ Statesman.

Speaking of LTD's a BA LTD for sale on main drag in Kapunda Priors automotive, doesn't appear advertised anywhere and i have no connection with the seller. I took a quick look as it's a good looking unit and i briefly got excited but if BF i'd have had more interest just for the six speed with the 5.4 given my primarily country kms :( 146000km nice.

Just posting in case any locals are looking and rare to see a LTD at all never mind in what looks like excellent shape wheels/lowering/exhaust only apparent mods.

Saw 5 or 6 Leyland P76s yesterday heading from Kilcoy to Woodford. They all looked pretty tidy. No photo as I was driving.

Lots and lots of various hotrods passing through town over Easter, coming and going from Bendigo Hotrod meet.

As much as I like them. If I see another 50's chopped Mercury with flames, I'll scream.

XB GS Station wagon - survivor in blue.
I have seen it before so its likely very local to me.
I will get the elusive pic at some point.

I was too busy trying to read the ad through the fence but i think it's a trick of shine/shade and its lightning strike. I had same combo with my BA lightning strike and silver Simmons looked...way too much silver and blendy.

Interesting spot up in Hornsby the other day. AU 2 or 3 wagon in black with SR decals and styling. Now that would have to be pretty rare. Seemed well-kept.

A trifecta of WRXs over 3 days

First, the barnstorming late 90's model.
Then the 2004 model with the bigger headlights
And to complete the set, the 'bug-eyed Impreza' WRX of around 99-01.

I love oddball engines that don't follow a template that everyone else follows. So, a transverse 6-cylinder fitted to a small hatchback. Then there is the 18-degree bank angle with staggered cylinders, meaning its relatively compact.

And then there is the offbeat warble that is unlike any other engine ever made.

As good as the EA888 engine is, its nothing compared to the VR6. That exhaust is up there with the Volvo 5 cylinder, not as good but close!
Very unique design thats for sure.

My problem with the EA888 is not that it's no good, but rather that it's not unique, pretty much every car maker does the 2.0 turbo thing, it's boring. This sums up my opinion of the new car market in general these days, its all the same and no diversity.

Vr6 engines are unique as they arent an inline 6 as the cylinders are staggered, but not a standard issue v6 as they only have 1 cylinder head.
Pre cursor to the w12 engines the vag people created.
The vr6 (dont quote me on this) was the german way to cram 6 cylinders in a space designed for 4.
