Does the car start OK or need a lot of cranking to fire?

If the car cranks over a lot & is hard to start (and drinks like a fish) it could be a dud TMAP sensor. Best way to confirm is to have the PCM scanned for DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Codes). Many sparkies & EFI mechanics can do this between $65 and $90, or the Ford dealer of course.
If the car runs rich for too long it'll collapse the cat - if you hear a metallic buzz under the car at idle the cat's on the way out. Leave it too long & it'll clog your exhaust & the acceleration will suck.
