You'll find you actually don't want a pipe on the spray can as it makes it come out as a continuous stream of liquid - you actually want it to come out in a spray pattern so it gets all around inside the runners. Just hold the can nozzle as close as you can to it while you're spraying and it won't go everywhere. Pretty easy to clean up any little bits of overspray.
