so....did any of this get resolved? i am having same problem now...yeah i know, 2013...
have been in LHM for a few days now. sometimes works on restart, mostly not. my usual auto bloke i noticed, had all the wiring on the inhibitor switch stripped, melted and sitting on the passenger side cat...ffs. Went to a competitor to reinsulate wiring etc. Speed signal now good.
anyway, no idea on the problem, auto service had no bits in the tray, which is reassuring, and the servo seals were replaced and tightened. Today, i drove home without any revs or speed registering, and funnily enough, no LHM!!! it was beautiful to drive again
