Fuel gauge..

Ok guys,
Need a quick hand...
Since removing the LPG system from the car, my fuel gauge doesn't work...
What I need to know is why..?
Is was functioning properly on both fuels just before I removed the LPG..
Now it doesn't show petrol...
How do I fix this..?
It's got me stumped...
