Well, as promised, I went to the drags to test it out, and Ill now post up my times. Previous best was a 15.885@88 mph.
Now, I have done other mods than just a generic flash tune. I have put a pod in the box, and cut a hole in the front of it. A lot of people on here argue that it doesnt offer much power, and you may well be right, I wont argue with that one. The sound is nice though.
I ran only 34 psi in the rear tonight, and 40 psi in the front.
No subs and no jack, as usual, so the weight of the car has not changed.
98 ron fuel, and a generic 98 ron tune off the CAPA flash box from KPM.
Runs as follows:
RT 60ft 660ft MPH E.T MPH Deg H% RA TT
1.276 2.273 10.011 71.13 15.545 89.27 22 49 814 32
1.487 2.245 9.950 71.20 15.490 89.04 20 53 647 29
1.207 2.216 9.929 71.22 15.457 89.13 19 54 481 28
1.209 2.228 9.903 71.45 15.379 90.16 19 53 321 26
0.673 2.231 9.921 71.32 15.444 89.45 17 70 237 25
0.954 2.276 9.993 71.18 15.504 89.43 16 77 126 25
All runs were done in Economy.
Did not do any burnouts, except for the last run, which was just for show.
Wasnt worrying about reaction times, just trying to get my stall right instead, which is why they are all so high.
Any questions please ask, but Id say for the money, the generic tune of the CAPA flash is a worthy mod. I dropped .501 of a sec, just with the mods as Ive said at the start of this post.
I also have got between 600 and 700kms for every tank of fuel Ive used since having the flash installed.
I have still got the original extractors (factory jobies) and cat, plus factory Oxy sensor.
The car has 215 000 k's on it, and still has the stock gears, and no LSD.
Next mod is putting on the 3 inch exhaust and cat, and a set of pacie comps, and see if I can crack the 14's, which I think should be quite achievable.
