Cheapest upgrade is slotted rotors all round with some decent pads (Bendix Advance or similar). 2 sets of RDAs with pads are around $400 delivered from onlineperformance on ebay.

Next stage is full upright, sway bar and hub conversion to AU2 (approx $1200 just for the front). Once done, you can run any standard brakes from AU2 right through to BA2 and territory brakes and discs (all but stock AU2 would be at additional cost).
