Default Noisy disc rotors

Hi,
Hopefully you can answer this...
I have recently had a set of Brembo 6 pots installed on the front of my 2011 FG XR6T, they look awesome, work as expected but I have a constant noise which best I can describe sounds like a child's bike which has a playing card rapping through the spokes which gets louder when I brake.
The mechanic that did the install said its due to the slots and dimples on the rotors!
Does this sound right? Will a disc change get rid of the noise or am I stuck with it?
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks

Some noises like the one you described do happen when fitting certain style slotted or dimpled rotors and in most cases once the pads wear in and the slots deburr it can go away or reduce the noise. I suggest you wait a bit first as it isn't going to effect the brake performance but it can be annoying.
