I'm looking at fitting a set of OEM strobe stripes to my convertible .. but they are relective. I've got a niggling feeling that it might be considered "illegal"? Do any of the old GTs or Mustangs have reflective stripes, or was it only Mopar who were crazy enough to do this?

I doubt they would be illegal. Come up to central queensland and just about every second car on the road has the yellow reflective stripes to allow them to go onto mine sites.

Yeah .. I thought someone might complain the stripes are distracting, or confusing .. or might kill some baby seals or some other politically correct dribble .. |

You'll probably have some goodie two shoes having a whinge regardless if it's legal or not....... Bugger them I do see late model cars with reflective stripes running round Adelaide, so one could assume it should be fine.

True, there are heaps of cars like this that have reflective stripes on the sides. Also it would be a bit contradictory for the police to book you for reflective stripes on your car when they have them on the police cars, as well as all of the ambulance and fire vehices. |
