Default which carby?

hi i have a 2L which i will have pretty warm and don't really want to do twins,i have heard of a 38weber or a weber off a XE falcon and a holley 350 could you please tell me the pros and cons of all these and how much less power they can achieve than twins.

Arn't the 36/38 webber standard on the 2L?

If not their a good choice, The holley might be a bit big unless its a real hot donk.

what about mine, i got the standard 2 litre with extractors, and i have an xe or xf carby on my bench if i hooked it up would it make a difference? or would i need a lumpy cam ported head etc

I reckon the stock carb is good. If you dont have stock carb then use XE falcon carb. As far as i know the power outputs are much the same. I tryed the the 350 holley but had tuning problems. But if you were to find a good machanic you could have it running sweet!
My favourite setup was the linx single sidedraft manifold with a 45 delorto. with sig erson mild cam and extractors used to pull 0-100 in 8sec. And smoked a stock VR SS over the Q/mile. i was happy with that...

Don't bother with the 350 or the Falcon carb.
Keep it stock, or if you want any noticable difference, go the side draught, twins if you really mean business.
I've tried the 4.1 carby with no difference, put a set of 48mm dellorto's and redline manifold, instant power !

i disagree my mate put a 32/36 on and it hammers compared to standard (falcon is pritty much the same just dosent have a butter fly in the seconders but you would have to change the jets)

what about it standard? origonal jets from the falcon? my engine has not been run yet and the last owner sed the carb probably needs a rebuild and i have a working falcon carb so what should i do? use the falcon or get the stock one rebuilt?

thats the million dollar question lol

Well, I reckon it would go better than a standard 1300 being they don't use a dual throat weber.
Falcon 4.1 carby will be no better than a Std 2L pinto carby.
