Question Cortina MK2 Jacking

Hi All,
I am a new proud owner of a 1968 Mk2 Cortina, it needs a fair bit of work and I dont want to generate any extra work.
I have been jacking the front of the car from under the front cross member which works great. Please let me know if this is an issue.
To jack the rear I was considering jacking under the diff.
Has anyone had any problems jacking the rear from under the diff?
If yes, where do you recommend to jack from?

Cheers
Ray

Default Re: Cortina MK2 Jacking

the front should be fine. that's how I jack my Escort and doesn't seem to be giving any issues. I'd be cautious about jacking the rear from the diff housing though, it'snot designed to take the whole weight of the car bending from the middle. I jack the Escort from under the springs, or from the wheel end of the axle tube
