Default Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers day to all the Dads out there. Number one child gave me the Darrell Lea "Dads Bag" . Need I say anymore, it's half gone already, Number 2 child gave me Eric Bana's "Love the Beast" DVD, a very wise choice, and number 3 child, the expensive one who costs me a fortune taking her to moto cross and Enduros gave me a lovely black T-Shirt with a picture of a credit card on it titled "Bank of Dad" and underneath the card it says "Where the money keeps on coming ! ".....................

My thoughts areout to all Dads as well .... i've never been close to my family but times change and i'm making an effort now... I was a dad once myself

Now i have two grown up step sons.....

Family aren't around for ever so look after your old man , because although they mostly never show it they feel/hurt and want to be loved just as much as your mum does...

Daz..

Happy fathers day to the fathers out there, and the single mums doing it tough being both.

Hope this brings some fathers day cheer, an oldie but a goodie!!

My Dad never wants me to buy him anything, because he has plenty of stuff as it is, and he's not into sports or movies or music, or any of the stuff that is in catalogues marked "perfect for Dad". Can't have chocolate as a diabetic, and his life basically revolves around work, so holidays or outdoor activities are out too.

So I have a problem for Christmases, but at least for Fathers day and Birthdays I found a solution, and I take him out somewhere nice for dinner. Just him and I.

Took him out last Saturday night for Greek, which he loved. He's already saying we should go back.

Quite right feathers. Most of our fathers have already acquired all the things they'll ever need, so time with them is most important. My brother and I are taking my dad shooting. He used to own guns when we were growing up and I don't think he's shot anything in almost 20 years!

What's the point of fathers day?

Doesn't anyone appreciate their dad during the year?

Sent my Dad some footage of the old Ford Assembly lines with the Model T Ford and the little sales promo this morning. He cracked up when he saw the ease of hand cranking the cars. He said it certainly wasn't like that in real life and many a hand had lost a lot of bark courtesy of the "Starting System" !!

I got my old man a $100 bunnings voucher, so he can do more stuff to his garden. He loves it, birthday fathers day and Christmas he just wants bunnings vouchers, it's easy as to get him gifts! I watch him spreading pea straw and planting vegies with this look of ecstasy on his face, I know i've hit the jackpot with this bunnings thing.
