Default cai question ..

Probably been asked and answered but i'll ask again .. What is it about these cai that change the sound? i keep reading about how people who change them say there car sounds awesome. My car being an AU xr8, you guys don't do one for them but is there some trick or something to get it sounding tougher? I just have the SS cai & a K&N panel filter.

mmm, induction roar.
Kinda imagine the sound of a V8's exhaust from a few streets away..(Getting nailed)
That's what it sounds like from under your bonnet!

The larger the air volume in the immediate area around the pod, the louder the CAI will be.

In my AUIII 220 XR8, I drilled about 6 or so 3/4in holes in the front on the air box behind the head light and had a K & N Panel filter.
Sounded better than stock.

Cool

Hey Chris i thought i would post up here rather then start a fresh question , this dingbat reckons he made a pvc pipe out of alloy and not only that , on a 1/4 mile drag reckons he will not only finish ahead of someone with a mighty fine airbox such as yours but also have time for a cup of coffee before we arrive ???

So just wondering, why we have been paying you good coin champion when we could have gone down to Bunnings all along and spent only $2 to make my fully hectic ride quicker uleh ?!

Please post any thoughts you have on the subject , where it counts......
