Default Where are they now AFF early members

Just thought I would throw a line out there and see how many of the original group are still active on here.

Back 10+ years ago when it all rolled over from .com to.com.au we had a fairly active social scene up here in QLD and a really great group of people.... The place doesn't seem any where new as lively as back in the day where it was the norm to get 10+ pages of new posts at the end of the day.

Ive chatted to a few of the old group eg Hoops/Casper/JC/Smoke Pursuit/Sbutler/ Au2xlsv8 / JIMT3TE50

Who else is still active (original username) where are you based these days and whats the Ford of choice at the moment?

Fiery
Grunter (still got the T3?)
Laminge
Bucky
Goldie
Stu
Slipper
etc etc

I see Hoops/Mrs Hoops driving around in a 3 Series BMW every now and then. But I have a feeling they might have changed into something else again.

Fiery runs around in a Citric Acid BA GT off the top of my head but hasn't been active on here in a while IIRC.

Well I better put in my details then as an early member.

When I first joined I had a 1988 EA Falcon which after a short while quickly spat the water pump so I bought an AUII Falcon Ute (dubbed the Blue Axe after I hit a wooden bollard at about 5km/h on a cruise once) which I modded slightly with a LSD and the normal engine mods.

I traded that on a BA MKII XR6. I've since had then a Pajero and now get ferried around cause I don't have any wheels.

Still getting around in a E-series lol, some things don't change.

I'm still here too, been a member since 09-01-2005. Once I found you after you all abandoned the US FF.com whilst I was away on holidays, I couldn't believe how quiet the Aussie section was when I returned in January 2005. Still hurts that I didn't get an email head-up to relocate either.

I'm still here. Joined NYE 2004 I believe.

I still have my BA, no intentions of parting with it any time soon. It's been very good to me. If anything I'd like to give it a turbo sibling to share garage space with.

Haven't been as active around here in awhile, though I skim the forums everyday, as it's still my homepage.
I've done almost all the upgrades I intended to do (now looking at what to do about my warped brake rotors, but I've been putting that off for 10 years),
but I have to admit I spend more time on an international forum of Top Gear fans, as it's a more active social community.
I even flew over to Europe recently to do an epic TG style road trip through Finland and Norway, before heading to the annual forum camping weekend at the Nurburgring.

I've connected with a few of the original long term members on Facebook as well, so I still keep up to date with Mother Nature, smciner1, etc.

Hoops has a Nissan Patrol (newish), and a black FG GT 335 - maybe a bimmer too, but they're now also based in Wagga, i believe.

A lot sure happens in 10 years! I too was a member of the US site and jumped across when the aussie forum was started. We have since sold our GT-P (to buy a caravan to live in when we moved to Karratha as rent here was hideously expensive!) But have been able to buy the coupe back from the father in law and since starting a family now drive a 200 series Landcruiser. But on the lookout to get into either another XR8 Sprint or maybe even an EB GT.....

Still here, I was known as 211 in the very early days on the US site. Still have my 2 xf's, the ute has had a few things done but the sedan still has the 351 in it. Not so active on the site these days but I still drop in for a read regularly. Can't believe how much time has passed, and it's still good to see some of the original familiar names.

Its funny how things seem to stick with you sometimes....
Whenever I spot a blueprint XR6 with a Typhoon rear wing I think of you for some reason eh'....
My XR6T was destroyed by my daughter in a big prang about 2 months ago....
Thankfully she came out of it ok.....but after having it from new and spending a bloody fortune on it during that time I was devastated.....
But life goes on and I now have a 2007 R Spec Typhoon to replace it.....hence I'm still here....
Must get around to changing my username sometime too'....

everyone had disappeared to and another member told me about this place.

Still doing up the Ltd Ute, but now it's at the painters and should be
on the road by early next year.
I even scored custom Vic LTDUTE plates from a member here only a few weeks ago.

Come to think of it, this build has lasted longer than my marriages

Oh, and where's my ten year banner?

There it is
