Given that Side Airbags are in the Seats on LS CL Safety Packs, what options are there for aftermarket seat covers that don't interfere with Airbag operation ?

Not much I'm afraid. You could get a set of fitted seat covers and cut a hole in the side, then restitch loosely/velcro.
Other than that the throw-over ie Snap on seat covers with no backs could also work as well. |

Side airbags deploy from the seat, side curtain airbags deploy from the B-piller (not 100% sure)

Ford has released specific seat covers for the Territory's with seat air bags. They should be doing this for the Focus as well. I want Ford to say, use these seat covers and your insurer will insure you against broken hips/legs if they fail... This is bulls***

Territory has side curtain airbags not side airbags like the focus and falcon

Ahh, I didn't know that. I emailed Ford anyways, I really want seat covers for my foci.

You'll be told not to fit anything in the way of seat covers. ANything that screws withe the normal operation of saftey equipment is not recomended to be fitted at all even if they are made with the air bags in mind. You'll probably have to wait for ford to release thier own set (and pay through the nose for them mind you)

I gave up on seat covers for my LS Zetec. Just buy a spunky beach towel and throw it over the seat. It won't interfere with the side airbag at all and there's a towel when you need one.

Ford got back to me fairly quickly and stated that seat covers are not recommended and not available. So I said, "can you forward this email onto the RnD team?" and they said "sure!" That's about it...
