Default New MOTOR mag with VE info and REAL PICS!!

Has anybody seen the new motor mag which has come out today?
Its got news and fresh pics on the new VE commodore.

It appear to be technically a milestone ahead of the VZ in terms of sophistication and the LS2 will be standard across the VE range.
The only thing I dont like here is the way it looks.

Basically reminds me of a pumped up Vectra. Very ugly IMO.
It has a very Euro look to it but I dont want that, I'd rather an Aussie muscular look than a refined classy appearance.

The VT Commodore is still the best looking I reckon.
From VY onwards, things just got uglier.

In other news the new motor mag also features a rematch between the F6 Typhoon and the VZ Clubbie.
Clubbie takes performance trophy, F6 wins in overall.

Discuss here.

If possible can we get some scans? Motor doesnt arrive in NZ about 3 weeks later than Aus or just as Aus are getting the new one comes out here, a full month behind, shocking.

Looks more like a Vectra. Don't mind the front but the rear isn't doing much for me.

I reckon it looks good. A bit too much vectra in it but nonetheless looks alright.

That looks awesome, much better then the VT! If the final is close to that I recon its the best looking Commodore to date.

If it's close it's understandable why they chose the current grille and tail light design for VY/VZ so that it flows into VE

I'm not a huge fan now but i think by release time it wont be as bad and will grow pretty quick on people

It does look good. It is not fugly. If the finished product looks like this (these are not real pics btw), then they will have finally released something as a new model which looks great from the start, rather than oh-so-wrong.

What about the next Falcon... I dont really give a toss about what Holden are doing cause I'd never buy one.

looks like an Audi ran up the **** of a Vectra!
the guards are a little too flaired for my liking but overall i think the population will be happy with the VE.

Don't you think the rear lights look a little BA ish. Not entirley the same, but similar.

Its about time the commodore get a complete face lift. Looks weird, but I guess its like any model change. It will grow on ya. It has too, cause its here for the next number of years.

Belt Line is Too High & I don't like the front end. The rear is nice though, very Audi.

But generally i think commo design is going backward since the VX

It actually looks like a bigger version of the new Focus IMO. I really love it..damn it!
Unfortunately it immediately dates both the VZ and the current BA. Just hope the BA update has some metal changes or the Falcon will be in trouble. It will be like going back to the EL vs VT days. Back then I stilled loved the EL, but they only sold when heavy discounted once the VT came out.

It looks awesome. Very european which is good, because the aussie cars are starting to look pretty dull in my opinion. I love audi, and thats pretty close, so i must say i like it. If it does come out like that, it will be the first holden that i would like. The VT looks like shit in my opinion, the VX, with its slight changes, is the best looking holden to date. If the VE looks like that, it will definatley change though!

From those apparently in the know, I've read that this isn't the VE but it's pretty close.

Not for me thanks. It looks like a Vectra at the front, and a Magna at the back. The side on view makes it look like a car that is a full size smaller than it actually is. I will wait until the car is on the road before I pass any real judgement on the car. I didn't like the BA either, but now I believe Ford has done us proud with the way it looks. The New new Falcon will look great.

What Im more interested in is the spy pics of the LS2 Powered VZ Wagon at the top of the page.

With regards to comments relating to the rim sizes, word was that stock exectutive rims were to be 17", up market models (berline etc) to have 18/19's and SS's to have 20's just to fill the guards.

How accurate this is is yet to be seen.
