The models were extremly impressive... and most of the time they were blown up!

What more could a kid want then to see models blow up?? lol
(usually led to the destruction of several matchbox cars)

If the manual makes it here id grab one!

I'm buying that book!!!!!

I've got the boxed set of DVD's, the complete series, which I picked up for about fifty bucks a few years back. I also found in Target on a discount table the complete set of Captain Scarlett, which was the later series by Gerry Anderson...a bit more adult in that it had a lot of action and they didn't shy away from killing off bad guys, and the figures were a bit more properly proportioned (without the "big heads" of the Thunderbirds marionettes as technology had improved).

Never too old for the Thunderbirds!!!

If you sniff around Ebay, you can occasionally pick up the old Dinky toys...I managed to find Thunderbird 2, and more importantly, Lady Penelopes Rolls, complete with figures of her and Parker. You can also get all the repro replacement parts to restore them from other sites if anything is missing.

Still watch them now with the kids. The two movies are my personal favorites!

Managed to pick up a couple of models last year. One is a die cast replica of Zero X and the others are a large scale T1 and T2.

But the most impressive of them all is a massive 2 foot long Thunderbird 2 model, complete with electric legs, lit cabin, and a list of options such as pods, vehicles, etc including a RC Mole that you can drive out of the pod after you raise T2's legs! Made by a Japanese company called Takara. Google it! Also there is video on YouTube. Worth the look if your a Gerry Anderson fan.

As is www.eagletransporter.com. The model builders on that site are obsessed!! Making replicas of the vehicles based of screen grabs and pictures!

Might go crack open that T1 model......

Even some of us girls used to watch Thunderbirds. I loved it as a kid. Bought Jack the DVD set when it came out.

I think the manual is so cool and would be a great talking point.

Cheers

Unfortunately not.

Also unfortunate there's not one for a Midbulk transport, standard radion-accelerator core, classcode 03-K64, Firefly.

I went to a Toy Museum in the UK in the late 80s and just missed a Gerry Anderson Expo, but they still had a bit of gear there. I bought the Souvenir Program(still got it) and picked one up for a mates brother who was mad on them, his car rego at the time was TBIRD2.
Just remembered the theme for my 35th was "Thunderbirds are go", did a cool invite.
Crablogger anyone?
Cheers, Dave

Can you name the other things the Doctor's Type 40 appeared as (other than Police Box) - without using Google?

Hint - the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) did manage to get the Chameleon Circuit working for an episode ;)
