Default 98 Tune and Octane Booster

Hi guys,

I going to do my 98 edit soon to my 3V BA but most of my servos have 95 only. Just wondering if you have done any trials with octane boosters to get 95 RON up to 98 RON? I would prefer to boost then reduce the timming out of the 98 tune.

Cheers,

Hi mate,

the thing that bothers me with octane boost is the small differences that can come into play when differeing amounts are used (even if by mistake) and octane ratings can vary.

tunes dont vary, so neither should the fuel.......

Oh, and on a side note with regard to timing, its like medicine. Only use what you need. Too much will upset the party.

You would be surprised at how well the 3v responds to a low spark table.

Thanks Chris,

I will upload the edit on the weekend and give it a go.

Just a question, if I have the edit in the car and want to reduce the timing, then I have to put the standard one back in and then amend the 98 edit before uploading it again?

Cheers,
