first i used paint stripper to get the greyish stuff off.
then sandered it with 180 grit wet then 240 wet then 400wet.,
i used a few other grits in between but cant remember what numbers.
then i used some very fine dry stuff its not paper, its like steel wool but extremely fine.
then to grt thr shine i used a buffing machine with lambs wool on it and metal polish called autosol.

Very nice. I was too lazy to polish mine, so I just left it as the raw aluminium look.
