heya guys.......at the Best Racing Dinner the other night it was mentioned that there would be a track day down at Vic, well just outside vic, ware we could go for a drive with Darren (i believe it is) in his ST170 around the track and also you could take your own car down and take it on the track......
i thought maybee some forum members may have wanted to meet up......and organise a meet and greet style thingy...... anyway i just thought id put it out there, didnt want it getting to the last minute and people rushing to organise things......

Winton, 17 Dec 06, $25 if you go on the track, in own car or as a passenger. It's a no speed limit day, if you drive like a bloody psycho they will kick you off the track. It's a no speed limit fun day.
Best Racing are offering rides to club members in their Class C Championship winning ST170 and would love to see people there. They also have helmets for those that don't own any, and have offered to let club members use their racing workshop as a campsite for us to camp in the night before, for people travelling (I am sure this is what they said, Eddie might be able to confirm this via email?). You would need: $25 Long sleeved shirt, long pants, covered shoes No loose objects in the car like unmounted subs, etc. You can store stuff in spectator vehicles if you know them. A helmet (Best Racing has a few but if you can borrow one from a motorbike friend, do so). Your car has to have no oil leaks either. Great chance to get Vic and NSW members together. I'm keen. It all sounds peachy atm, but the 17th is on a sunday so the only way i can get my **** down to Vic is if I fly down and have to work the next day. I can possibly get the monday off but i would have to pull alot of strings.

I have driven down to Heathcote for a drag day before and returned on the same day, it's not that bad.
In this case you could drive down on the Saturday, camp overnight, drive on Sunday and leave that afternoon at say 2 or 3pm to be back Sunday night. I'm keen on meeting a few Victorian faces! Edit: maybe I should take my car trailer to bring back to NSW any busted Eurofords :p Timmeh |
