2011 Mondeo MC Indicator and Wipers swap

Hi,
I purchased a 2011 Mondeo MC LX 2 weeks ago after researching various options for some time. One misgiving was adding a car to our family fleet that had the indicators on the other (left) side. My wife's car is a Nissan and my Toyota was handed on to my P-plated son. Another son is also on L-plates. Also at work I drive various Toyota pool cars so was not really keen to add L/H indicator switch into the mix.

So, after a little bit of research I purchased a switch set from a 2012 Focus LW.
I had planned to buzz out the wiring, modify the looms, and alter anything required but was pleasantly surprised to find the whole assembly fitted perfectly without any modification required.
I plugged it in and it worked immediately!!

I did have to loose the phone buttons and the voice command button that were on the Mondeo indicator stalk. No problem for me.

I like the idea of a lever swap but I would really miss the phone buttons - I use these all the time.

You get used to turning the wipers on in corners when you swap cars - happens to me all the time.....

Keep it as is.
Those euro designs are civilised, steer and indicate with the left hand, drink coffee with the right !

I used those phone buttons a lot too.

Pity the cup holder is closer to the left hand. I travel a lot in the dark and guaranteed as soon as I pick up my cup with my left hand I need to dip my lights.....

Also a problem while trying to inhale a servo pie whilst driving.....

This is an awesome idea and I may have to copy. Having just been turned onto the benefits of using manual mode to navigate roundabouts (through this very forum), I find the juggling necessary to operate the sequential shift and the indicators on one hand very annoying.

Interestingly the Titanium doesn't have phone buttons on the indicator stalk, but a switch to toggle the lane departure warning system on and off. (Call and hang up gets soft-mapped to the steering wheel menu buttons when a call is taking place, but I always used the buttons on the head unit anyway.) Lane departure is fully configurable through the Convers+ menus anyway, so that's even less of a loss.

I wonder if there's a set of stalks with a button to keep the voice control though. Can you share any of your research sources that informed this conversion?

My research largely consisted of looking at pictures and checking out possible options at wreckers based on the physical setup as I as quite ready to do some re-wiring.
After I discovered that the Focus LW (from 2011-) had been switched the R/H indicator by FORD to increase sales it seem obvious to start there.
The Focus and and Mondeo must share much of the same wiring too.
If I were you I would try and find a Focus Titanium steering wheel too. It's probably got all the buttons you need too.

Thanks for the pointers. So you took a punt and it turned out to be a plug-and-play replacement, neat.

I did notice in pictures that some LW Focus appear to have a lane departure button on the blinker stalk. I've also noticed in pictures that the MD Mondeo has a right-side blinker and the stalks appear to be the same physical design - and also that LV Focus stalks look quite similar to MC Mondeo. So it seems quite possible that they do share the same components. I wouldn't have expected them to reuse parts between different models as there always seems to be something specific to each but maybe they actually do for once here.
