Yeh thats right! Just seen it on top gear. The yanks sell 1 million a year in north america, 130 an hour. Supercharged 5.4 380 hp. They say the pickup itself is crap! Poor build quality and no safety tests as they class it as a work bus.
So that makes me think? the VE outsells the FG but that doesn't mean it's any good! LOL |

thats pretty old but its still true, the F-150 is the worlds best selling car As for the VE vs FG thing, it all depends how narrow minded people are

Llast year F truck figures were down to 430,000 but this year they will be back up over 500,000. They havent sold the Lightening for a while a lot of the big heavy lifestyle trucks went away with $4.00/gallon fuel back in 2006 and F truck sales collapsed because of it. At the moment, F150 makes up about half of F truck sales, the real money is in the Super Duty Range which has been responsible for 80% of this year's increases in the Heavy Duty truck market. |

Yeah sales figures are outdated. Also, the Lightning has not been available for quite some time. SVT Raptor is the new one. The whole F-series range is still Ford's best seller (as a whole) in North America. But nobody is selling cars at the rate they used to be.

I remember watching that episode, the company that did the RHD drive conversion should be ashamed of themselves it was apauling, bits were hanging off it everywere. I thought a bit harsh to ctiticise a cars build quality. when it's been butchered by someone else

I was thinking the same thing as you SVTNM. When Clarkson commented about the slop in th steering I was thinking thats the poor RHD conversion, not an issue with the build quality of the truck out of the US.
