One of the you beaut safety cameras on the intersection of Great Eastern Hwy Bypass and Stirling Crescent Guildford WA went mad today, mustn't like its job.
The camera started taking photos non stop until the Police Camera Section could get out there to stop it. i wonder if in the interest of safety, they will say what the fault was and how many "fines" they will have to write off because of it!!! |

Maybe there were road works and the limit was reduced to 10km/h in the interest of saving babies and dolphins and rainforest trees...

I don't think Film has been used in a long time ... and if it was a Safety Camera (being a newer device) ... it'd be using a NTU or DSL modem and transferring images back as soon as they were taken.
Be interesting to see the link utilisation during the time it went crazy though.

There's one down here in Bayswater that seems to go nuts once and a while. One time it took the power out.....there might have been some angry ice cream parlour owners the next day.

Happens a fair bit in Melbourne (camera capital). They go crazy and flash each car going past - a bit of a hazard at night with cars driving towards it.
Ridiculous technology.
