Default An indicators question ?

G'day all , just a quick question.. Im looking at changing the front side q/panel repeaters/indicator covers from the orange to the clear covers. As i haven't even had a look at the globes yet , i was just wonderinging if they allready have orange globes in them too ( which im doubting ), or will i have to replace the globes with orange globes too , cheers . ????

This is the easiest mod you will ever do.If you get the indicators from ford they will also have the orange globes.Or get them from an auto shop.

I got mine from Ford for what Henri mentioned ... and quicker tha waiting on eBay .. I thin there's more effort involved in using eBay than going to Ford.

Comes with the orange globes as well ... straight swap over .. quick and easy.

I went to a wrecker and found scuffed clear side indicators off a damaged Fairlane and they wanted more than what Ford asked for them brand new.

No use going to a wrecker and searching for ages when you can get them brand new in wrapper from Ford.

Also front corner indicators are a larger globe than the sides.

I bought some three weeks ago from ELN Ford. The orange globes came seperate.

Part No AU3 13K309 A - Was $18.15 each- Lenses
AU3 13465A - Was $3.50 -Orange Side Indicator Bulbs

They had the orange globes in stock, but i had to order the Lenses in.

*I find it the easiest and one of the best mods you can do. Easy=Good.

Yer, most of the spares from Fraud are way over the top, but their are some where it is simply easier to go and get them from Fraud.
Such as clear repeaters, interior chrome door handles & chrome surround gear selector cover which I thought they would want heaps for, not just $13.20

Cost me $18 to do both sides. The salesman at Ford thought they came in pairs so supplied both sides amd charged me for one. I win.

After reading this I have run straight to Ford only to find that they would like over $90, not $13.20... you wouldn't happen to have a part number would you?

Thanks guys

I have ordered the chrome one from the AUI's - not sure if it will fit on my AUII but if not i'll just sell it off cheap. The AUII's had a nickle one which my fairy already has.

I put clear repeaters on this arvo, not 100% sure about them - the amber ones don't look too bad against monsoon blue. I'll leave them on and see if it grows on me
