Sounds to me as if he was a member of this club, had some bad dealings and/or disagreements and decided it was best to move elsewhere for a better lifestyle to raise his kids. And the fact he was not wearing his jacket. I would assume his children were the reason, in that the noise of roaring motorbikes brings bad memories for them. But it's hard to top a BOSS for sound, but I agree it should be driven with respect in the neighbourhood and opened up on the freeway or similar to clean out the cob webs.

I wouldn't feed him grog, if he's a hothead the last thing he needs is grog to help with any "dutch courage" or his short temper. Take it easy, be polite and treat him like any other neighbour. He may be an initiate, affiliate or full blown member, either way, you don't wanna p'off the Hells Angels or the Nomads. I've known a few Angels and Rebels over the years, top blokes but I'd never cross them....Ever....

The bikie was a chick from the deli at work's uncle. He sure wasn't a pansy and the only branch of bikies close to my area are Hell's Angels i think.

Gotta agree here. Not all bikies have their AH's hanging out, nor do all of them look like crims.

How true this statement is. Just because you are a club member does not mean you have to live in a certain area. Nor do they wear there colours at all times, why would he put his jacket on to come and talk to you. And I doubt he would just be walking around telling people he is a member if he isnt/wasnt.

My point was that suggesting guns is useless.

The only way to truly fix this is to talk to the person and show you are seriously committed to working something out.

Is that easy to understand?

Hell of a long and arduous journey to prove a point that could have been made in one sentence.. like above..
Perhaps a group hug will fix it all ??

google hell angels nomads. search australia, then take cams advice. i know a couple of people in clubs and if you antaganise them they wont call the police, they sort problems out there own way. if you follow half the advice on here you could end up eating through a straw. these clubs try not to draw attention to themselves so if you dont provoke it you shouldnt have any trouble.

Even if the guy isn't in a club any more (they dont like the word gang) if he's mentally unstable and has a grudge or a point to prove he's going to be a problem no matter if he's a bikie or a school bus driver. They can both make your life hard buy messing with your belongings.

Smile and wave boys, Smile and wave!!

If he was wearing the belt/jumper etc he was more probably a nom or associate. Using colours to intimidate in such a manner is a no no. Especially something as trivial as a noisy car in the street! If you drove in a manner that warranted some speaking to cop it on the chin. If not I'd treat him no differently to anyone else. Mind you I stand my ground but also treat most people with a bit of respect. I hope you do too!

5. And as soon as I had apologised for scaring his kids, he jumped in and said “it’s none of your business what my kids have been through”
That sounds like some one that’s been outed and is still PI**ED about it.

He might of been a "Nomads Supporter" they had some shirts available a while ago just like the HA's do......support your Big Red Machine and "81" supporter clothes.

Its a big no no to pose and act like a member when your'e not.....you get your knee caps shot out by doing things like that.

Just drive as quetly as possible, you don't want to antagonize this guy. Sounds like he has broken protocol for such a trivial issue but in any case, just keep your head down. Be polite and hopefully he won't give any trouble.

A sign of the times we live in... some a**wipe comes into your home, threatens you and your family and you can't smack his lights out!

Anyways - my advise would be to take his requests on board & just ignore him. Taking it a step further i'd also consider it an opportunity to sell up and start fresh in another (neighbouring?) suburb. If he's a member of a gang its only a matter of time before they start hanging out at his place, drink p**s & cause trouble. Not good for the stress levels and definitely not good for your own family. This by the way isn't a sign of defeat... its simply making the most of an 'opportunity'.

I was fortunate enough to spend some time in a club house a few years ago for a mates birthday function, and to be perfectly honest its not something i'd like to experience again. Some bikies turned out to be top blokes, others turned out to be highly strung a**holes. Definitely an eye opener...

So this guy comes around at night and threatens you? He doesn't sound like much of a man to me if he needs to wear his nomads jumper to try and intimidate you, sounds like the 'look at me im a tough guy' type. Anyway that said you should probably just ignore him as these guys are also the type to vandalise your car, house etc while you are away/asleep.

Pretty rare that these guys would **** in their own nest, hence the reason for a clubhouse.

As a parent I know exactly where the bloke's coming from though, we had alot of trouble with a family that used to live in our street who liked to snort certain substances then proceed to paint our street black with rubber, regardles of what the time was or if the local kids were outside playing. Cops were no help in the matter they wanted to "catch them for something bigger", as they put it. In the end I confronted them myself, suggested a few places they could go and what they could do to themselves when they got there.
Never had a problem with them again after that, every time I drove past they'd smile and wave.

Best thing you could do for yourself shane, whether this bloke's in a club or not, is take the advice from everyone here that's told you to calm your driving and either smile and wave or simply ignore him. Ignore the keyboard warriors and remember, The only thing scarier than a ****ed off nomad is a parent who thinks you're scarin their kids.
