yeah i get my lisence back in a month, just got my car last week, so i am hoping to keep my lisence, my insurance went through the roof tho. $1900 excess if i crash. wat a rort. it was $1500 when i had a V8. i have learnt my lesson, so im staying quiet for 2 years.

to whoever started this thread: u get more street cred from having a 4 cly (say a merc) with phat chromies and the chick love it. Id rather than a V8 or rice burner

A:The "L" plater know's he cant drive, The "P" plater think's he can.

Yeah with the new laws, ya cant have ANY modifications to the engine from a pod filter to an exhaust, asked vic roads. Soon they will be targeting 1.5" exhausts going into cannons... But they didnt mention anything about drivetrain

I can tell you the claims are for real. Mine does mid 6's easily. Only got best of 14.9 for the quarter, but at 157 - bad launch. Stock Ralliarts on Magna forums are pulling mid 14's (in manual this is)

Not to sure about that you may be a bit biest ,is your car stock?.I agree with you that it is one of the quickest tho,my list above are of cars how do low 7's and some high 6's,but it is arguably without raw data, ill have to take your word for it,but still it would be a good race against the likes of a prelude or integra 8k rev limit anyone? .

One of the quickest what? The Ralliart Magna is amongst the slower P-Plate legal performance cars.

Im sure if you do some research you will find that it is in the "ball park" the "ball park" being 6.5-7.6sec 0-100,keep in mind they must be cars, that can actually be afforded by P-Platers.

As far as P-Plate legal cars go, which is the topic of conversation, the Ralliart Magna doesn't hold a card to thinks like the Golf R32, BMW 130i, Alfa 147 GTA, BMW 330i, BMW 328i, BMW 325i E90, BMW Z3 2.8, Lotus Elise, Clio 182/172, 206 GTi180, Integra Type S, Integra Type R, Civic Type R etc.

Ralliart Magna

They're relatively inexpensive though.... but for my money I'd be buying..

This or this or this

All of which cost the same, accelerate, corner and stop better. All P-Plate legal.

You are dead set kiddin yerself champ. None of the cars from the carsales links you posted are faster than a Ralliart Magna. As much as you tell yourself a Golf R32 does 0-100 in low 5's mate, it just doesn't. It's mid 6's at best.

I was actually referring to the verbal meaning of the word which means "To entice, especially by trickery or strategy." Or more simply to tease.

I know those cars are faster then a Ralliart Magna, I've seen enough of what happens in real life. Including having beaten one in my Clio. And a Golf V R32 DSG does do 0-100 in low 5's. A Golf V GTI DSG does 0-100 in 6 flat and you're going to tell me that the R32 is half a second slower with 37kW more power, 40Nm more torque and AWD? Riiight...

He's using the GTI as an example of the fact that the R32 must be faster. Which makes sense, unlike the RTA prohibited vehicles list.

Yeah my first vehicle was a 1.3 litre Ford escort panel van lol.
Was a nice one though but still had no power to speak of & was flat out at 140 k's which was plenty fast enough for a new driver lol

After about a year of driving it & making a few mistakes along the way I went to a HQ 5 Litre GTS which was fun but yes had I had that first up I may have not been here today lol

An all P-Platers will be able to Afford Golf R32 and BMW Z3 etc,you have to be kidding get realistic, and read my prior post.Only car's that P platers would be likely to afford that means anything over 20k is pushing it.
The likes of Honda Intergra Type S and R,Honda Prelude VTI-R seem to be one of the best allround Performer's for P plate cars.
Lotus .

Also No Engine Modifications allowed,Which means the 2 of the 3 cars you chose Steffo could not be bought by a P plater.
