Had CeramicPro done by Tony and Sharon at Diamond Detailing in Bibra Lake in pre-delivery phase. Why she looks so nice.

Ceramic Pro and Opticoat are they supplied via Ford as part of the pre delivery or after market application?

Aftermarket. Ford offer Fusion, but I see a lot of bad press on it.

I got OptiCoat, as a lot of people had great comments, and the only negative was due to poor service by a rural installer.

Had mine installed for 3 months now, blast it off with water and it's good as new. Money well spent. Waxing a car often for hours on end - ain't nobody got time for dat!

Is that legit? You use no soap, no rubbing at all? Even if there's poo, dead bugs, etc

So all you do is hose it down and use no cloths?

What about chamois afterwards? Can't tell me there's no watermarks?

Mines been on a 10 year old car, non Ford, for nearly a year (applied by the Sunshine Coast dealer) and only polished once, because I was bored one weekend

I'd like to see manufacturers offer a solid non-metallic black, like they did in the good ol' days.
The metallic black they sell these days looks more like a very dark grey than proper black, especially when the light hits it at certain angles.

You know, the Aero Blue doesn't look too bad, not awe inspiring but not awful either.

Blood Orange or Octane would look fantastic on the FGX, why no fun colours that blue is something for a G6E not an XR it's not horrible just very bland.

Ford USA saving the POP colours (yellow/red) etc for the Mustangs.

Want the local Ford cars to be bland when side to side with the Mustangs which POP.

I go to the carwash, blast it off with high pressure soap, hit it with a bit of fresh water, and I'm on my way. The water doesn't have time to dry cos it beads right off.

I've had bird poo a couple of times, a blast works a treat. Bugs seem to come off with the pressure, but I haven't had them caked on the front as yet.

All signs are very positive! The only part of the car that doesn't bead is the windscreen, I just need to find my Rain X and I'll be set! So yeah, highly recommended and works for my busy lifestyle!

Don't need the colors to make the Falcon look bland next to Mustang.

My car has been Opti-Coated, about 3 years ago now.

My wash method is to use "Wash" and "Rinse" Buckets with a microfiber cloth/mitt.

After sudsing up I rinse off and then dry using a microfiber cloth; it's a largish openweave type. I find there are always some faint watermarks or streaks when it dries off completely.

That doesn't bother me as I always give her a once over with Dura Gloss Aqua Wax.

One time I decided to let the car air dry - it had more watermarks on it and took me longer to detail.

The paint finish is still excellent today, largely absent of swirl marks.

I have lost count of the FG X's I have seen. Maybe they are all in country NSW. I have even seen one with a blown brake light, another one in FIRE brigade get up and a cab chassis with a sweet custom tray.

Bowden's Own Auto Body Gel, two buckets, a microfibre sponge and chamois for my fortnightly cleaning needs.

Ceramic Pro has been a very good investment on my XR6T all for $550 when the Ming Mole at the dealership charges upwards of $2000.
Two days after I had it applied it got its first bird **** stain.
Only saw it several hours later after I first parked in the morning then I cleaned it right off with a wet towel without fuss.

The gloss helps too as non-car strangers and friends who can't tell the difference between a base model taxi spec and XR model all assume and say it must be new or "nice car".

I did drop by in my FGX on north side, Groovin the Moo at Uni of Canberra to be precise.
I managed to spot an orange GT-F in person, also on North Side too.
Looks like the Falcon family is on the other side of the lake from where you are.
