Dirt water? It's called international roast and is supposed to be instant coffee. It may not taste like coffee but it doesn't contain potatoes

Overly wet mash, isn't that a potato thick shake? Back on topic, I'm one of those people who are lactose intolerant, it's almost as debilitating as being left handed which I am. It's juice for me.

When I was a kid , pop into my favorite milk bar , two pumps of chocolate syrup and a big spoon full of malt , place the pint under the milk shake blender and you're done

I would sometimes replace the chocolate for caramel . Very close second

Spearmint was always my go to. There was only one place I knew of on the Sunshine Coast that did it but they are no more. Good luck trying to find it at all here now.

I miss Australian style milkshakes but they are easy enough to make. You don't see some of the syrups here though like Blue Heaven and Spearmint. I do like chocolate malts that they have here though. I also miss Flake and Crunchie shakes at Aussie Wendy's.
I make a breakfast smoothie every morning which satisfies my milkshake cravings (tastes just as good), and it's healthier than most people's breakfasts.

I only do 1/2 a banana per serving though. I also only ever use raw honey now. Make sure you have a really good blender like a Vitamix or Blendtec.

If you want another awesome flavour combo try this:

Spearmint and Banana but it has to be the genuine spearmint not the lime green imitation.

Iv'e been drinking this combo since I was 15 but it's getting harder to find places that have the spearmint syrup.

Banana is a good 2nd place.
Mix the two and you'll never try anything else.
