It will be a perfect fit with the HOs then! Has the FGX XR8 exhaust been revised? Cheers Mick Last edited by HO 3; 16-10-2014 at 12:07 AM. |

taking orders for XR8. Is this true & if so, I thought it was said, (no rush, there will be plenty to go around) |

Dealers only have what ford allocate to us, which is a very small amount of cars, limited build capacity=low volume production

Anyone involved in the local Miami supply chain would have seen the schedules by now and know how much truth there is in the figures being sprouted.
That FB page lost all credibility long before he tried to claim his 5 minutes of fame over the XR8........ |

Most buyers don't like waiting, people won't hang around for months because dealers can't supply the car, the genuine people are okay with a few months wait, but that blows out quite quickly when you consider that one dealership may only get one or two cars a quarter. Any more than 6 customers per year and you have a headache to explain to people the issue of supply

Doesn't sound any different to the GT here... Eg it sounds good, but I don't think it's been changed.

And that's fine. I'm getting a Mustang. My dad is getting a new XR6. At 75, it will be his last new car.

Do you think those buying a XR8 would also consider a V8 Mustang and vicky verka?
Would have thought that 4 doors and seating 5 means a different reason to buy? |

I am in the XR8 line, I am 56, my current ride is 5 years old and be 6 by June when I want the car. Too early for Mustang and although we have seen Muzzy around for a while we have no real idea what quality and reliability will be like. Nor do we know exactly what models will be here, inclusions, special performance models etc. In 5 years time all will be known and I will have a low k XR8. One more thing that is probably unique to me is I have jetskis to tow and by then probably not. I would probably prefer to tow with the XR than the Muzz.

The Mustang was based off the Falcon, but I think people are confusing the classics with the current.
The old models had styling and cred. The new ones are just more American garbage that we saw in the 1980s Mustang (one of which I drove extensively). While the American cars are getting a little better since the 80s/90s, they're still pretty poor quality compared to Australian, Japanese and miles behind German stuff. Would be foolish to choose a Mustang over an XR8 IMHO.

I don't know where he gets his disillusions from. FGX production has only just started. They are not all sold out. You will have to wait but you can put orders down with dealers. I have been talking to 2 dealers and no dramas from either. I will have to wait after I put my order down but that is fine. The XR8 is worth waiting for.

My Zinio, November Wheels arrived . Comparo with FGX and Commy MY15. not a road test but specs. and Holden said "this upgrade to Commy isn't the last" . "There will be more updates before Commy finishes production."
My comment..looks last the last two years are going to be interesting!!! Lets hope FORD responds likewise..
