The worst thing that I've had was little kids playing football in the street, my car was parked on the verge (Quiet cul-de-sac) And the football goes up up up, and then lands smack bang right in the centre of my bonnet.

Then I had a go at them, said to watch where they are kicking it, and the dad then had the nerve to come out and have a shot at me!

Now that would have been ok if it had ended there, but his mates got involved, then I got involved, their girls got involved so our girls got dragged into it as well so then theres about 7 or so people brawling on the footpath and people were just walking by like it was a regular thing....couple of em' actually started cheering for the girls.....can you believe it!!!

They actually wanted to go Peter for assault but his legal guy got him off.
But what really ****ed me off was that I'd been hanging out for months to go out with this girl, she was just gorgeous, first date!!!

She gets into a brawl, cops a black eye and some scratches, ruins $200 dress, gets hauled down to the police station in a paddy wagon, and then Ive got to take her home to her Christian parents at 2.30am (we were going to be home by midnight), Couldnt work out why I never saw her again :yeees:
All because some pr--k decided to sit on someone elses car!!!
Nah, it wasn't because someone sat on someone elses car, it was cause your mate is a obviously a thug and a hothead. I know its really annoying when somebody leans on your car, but do you really think it warrants sending somebody to hospital?? Your mate should have been charged.

Had the same with some little teenagers kicking a footy around near my parents place. One almost hit my car, they laughed about it until they saw me come out. I told them to be careful. Kids launched a tirade of abuse so I grabbed their ball, walked up to their house and told their father. He had the nerve to launch a scathing attack on me so I gave him the ball, apolgised and told him that I would need him to sign a waiver stating that I had spoken to him about it, and that he had declined to inform his sons to modify their activity making him liable for any damage caused. He told me to basically F off so I said; "look, that's fine and ordinarily I would agree with you however your children are in fact breaking the law by playing on a road, so you just give me a moment whilst I phone the police to come over and sort it out."
Sure enough, he continued his defiance and then one of the kids almost got run over by an elderly gentleman. He reported it to the police which made them come out and I spoke to the officer about my little stoush with this neighbour so the policeman then charged the father with about three charges (not sure what they were), and one of the sons was charged as well. Long story short, they never played football in the street again.

I got sick of all the above happening to the XA so I bought something I will never love (see sig). XA's have big bonnets so to the general public it means it is a place to put stuff eg: shopping bags while they get their keys, a place to sit etc.

I once walked out to see some shopping bags on the bonnet so not knowing who owned it I threw it in the garden behind me. There was a mid aged lady yelling at me for something though as I proceeded to drive away.

It always astonishes me that kids insist on playing footy, cricket, etc on the street. Isn't that what backyards and public parks are for? This is especially the case on my street where there is a park just 2 mins down the street, yet the kids from the neighbors across are ALWAYS playing in the street.

Out of all the times that i wanted to slap someone for leaning on a car that did not belong to them, there was this one time that i decked the owner of the car i was leaning on.

Busy Chatswood. Very nice brand new Ferrari 360 Modena parked on the road. I was having a coffee at a cafe on the opposite footpath, when i spotted a very elderly lady crossing the road. As she got half way across the street she seemed to get into some difficulty and looked like collapsing.

I jumpt straight out of my seat and ran accross to help her. By the time i got to her (stopped her from falling on her face) she had placed her hand on the bonnet of the ferrari to steady herself. I was holding her other hand to keep her ballanced.

She was fine (just exhausted) after a one minute rest with her hand and my hand on the bonnet of the Ferrari. Everyone around saw what was happening and were glad someone from the public helped her out.

Anyway, the owner of the Ferrari came out of a shop and saw us 2 on this bonnet and had a fit. "Oi, **** off!" he shouted at the women. He obviously only saw her and didnt see me, so he continued some serious abuse to the poor granny.

He stopped when i sat her down on the footpath bench, and asked him where were the finger prints. As he moved closer i grabbed his head and pounded it against his bonnet whist asking him if he could see any marks.

Everyone on the street cafes ****ed themselves and applauded. But then the got scarred when his head was putting dents all over his bonnet.

He drove off with a dented ego, dented bonnet and a dented head.

Moral of the story. Make sure your mouth doesnt write cheques your body cant cash.

I'd lean on my own car even if it was a Bugatti Veyron. But that's it, its MY OWN CAR! I don't lean on other people's.

And if some one does sit on your car and you ask them to move they carry on like you just asked to sleep with their sister!!!!!! The really sad thing is it will only get worse!!

The one good thing about the Fiesta is people tend not to put things on it... the bonnet slopes forward and is very short, so anything will just fall off, so they don't try, and the roof is too high up for them to bother (its taller then a Falcon).

Annoys the crap out of me! Just the other day, my mother in law was standing at my boot, and stood there, putting her entire ample bodyweight on her hands, and rubbing them up and down the bootlid! I let her do it 3 times, before I nicely told her she was scratching my car - then she gets cut with me!

May have only been an EF, but why needlessly wreck things?

Its a small hatch... all small hatches are like that. Its not MUCH taller then a Falcon, like 20mm, but its taller. There wouldn't be any room inside if it it wasn't...

Falcons aren't all that tall anyway, 1444mm.

at new years eve i had a lady come up and talk to myself and a few mates, half way through the conversation she leant on my boot. i said nicely "can you please not lean on my car" she said "how much did you pay for it" i told her that i paid enough for it and her reply was "i paid twice that for my car. i went off at her for at least 5 minutes. she didnt seem bothered at all.

i went on a car cruise and 2 guys were leaning on my car so i pressed the panic alarm on my BA and they moved off and said to me "your alarm is going off" i said "i know". the dumb asses didnt know what was going on

from a very young age i was taught not to touch cars. that was even before my dad got an XY GT.

you didnt mention the guy giving attitude, i was under the impression from your first post he went straight up and king hit the guy, if this is the case, yes he should have been charged. sure its wrong to lean on a car, should your face be caved in for it, no it shouldnt.
if your revised version of the story is true then the guy was probably asking for a trouble

Yeah can't stand it when people lean up against your car. It seems people have no respect for other people's property. And it doesn't matter how old or expensive your car may be, the fact is it's your car, and people should respect that. Seems a very selfish world we are living in nowadays...

It's just rude and disrespectful. it's not a big step from that level of disrespect to keying a car.

drove a new 330Ci BMW to my house friday. was tired and had a big week, so couldn't be bothered shuffling cars around to make space in the garage, so i left it in the street (in a good area).

well, new bonnet thanks very much. gouged into the metal all over it.

i can't say i endorse randomly punching people, but what other way is there to communicate with people who not only do the wrong thing, but become indignant when you point out they're doing the wrong thing. and they should know in the first place they're doing the wrong thing.

I just can't stand people who are ignorant enough to disrespect someone's car, no matter what it is.

To some, a car is just a car, and to some, some cars are a pile of *****, but that doesn't give them the right to lean all over it.

You don't go into someone's house you don't know, and go through their fridge, without asking do you?

Same thing applies in this case. IMO

Although even if someone asked, I still wouldn't let anyone lean on my car. I don't even do it myself.
