Gosh the mental picture of this had me p***ing meself laughing.
That's all a part of 4WD, but when it happens to so many at once it's funny as hell.
Clay is a real bi**h to get out of when wet, it literally sucks you down. Even walking in that stuff is difficult.
Best way I've found is to use one of those exhaust bags to lift the car up and then pile anything you can find under the tires, branches, rocks, dry sand, anything. then *slowly* drive out.
A high lift jack will do the same thing, however on real clay it just sinks down before you can lift the car high enough. and the exhaust bag is so much easier and faster.
I know you got them all out now, so get back in there for some more "practice".

Too right, I haven't on here for a while, but its good see another subaru owner taking their car where most others can't LOL!

I know have the best of both worlds, New Patrol and what was our new Forester Turbo. Haven't been anywhere the Forester hasn't yet in the Patrol, but I will one day. Low range is mighty handy thing

And Every one should have a set of MaxTraxx, $290 is cheap insurance when you are out of options.

There is a new term being bantered around 4 wheel drive circles, it is "4x4 hoon"

These are people who go into places and do stupid things, "just for the fun of it".

hmmmmmmm?????

(oh and by the way I work as a 4x4 trainer)

Aren't they called Winchers? They go out and get stuck purely to pull themselves out with a winch? I believe Guy Ritchie is one

I reckon that "Roothy" borders on a being a 4X4 hoon at times with some of the stuff he does in his videos.

Hahaha never got to meet him when i worked at 4x4 Extreme but i was told he was a mad character. For crazy 4WDers though they're a bunch of nice guys. Some of the trucks they've got are wicked

As for 4x4 hoons....A bunch of people in 4by's doing doughies and such, tearing it up spinnin the wheels slowly destroying tracks and trails, not caring for the tracks and trails, driving at high speed wherever possible.....(somthing along the lines of that)
Some of us 4wdrivers tend to record this behaiviour if possible and report them. There have been (and are) tracks that have been closed due to being mistreated....

The amount of times I have been on the beach at Bribie in the Forester only to watch some P-Platers in there 1984 hilux with 5" Lift take off up the cutting in 2WD and churn it to ****, jump tracks backwards and forwards all the way to the end. Just to prove they don't 'need' 4WD is unbelievable. All the are proving is how stupid they are. At least though in each occasion I just trundled up in 2nd gear in the forester and just regraded the track flat with the front bash pan. I make sure to give then a look the says "What's the big deal?"

Bit like the old addage at Fraser, when you get to camp there is always someone who brags how they drove all the way up there in 2WD. Yeah well at low tide there is no difference between bitumen and the sand so big deal. Stupid thing is they are not saving fuel as most 4WDs with auto hubs are still locked until you stop and reverse 1m to unlock them. Brains are few and far between when you head "off-road"...
