A lot of car makers have issues with car and bumpers matching, plastic and metal....

Lets keep the discussion about Fords new colors.

The VEs are shocking for the colour of the bumpers and exterior plastics not match. I fond out while working for holden it was due to all the plastics being painted by a contractor of holden who had to mix the paint themselves so each batch for each place was always different. Black seemed to be the only colour whare the mismatch wasnt so obvious but it did then so up the rough finish of some of the paint on some panels.

I had to explain to a few customers on behalf of the salesman to tell them that there brand new car had not been damaged and had parts repainted and that is how the car left the production line at holden. When your paying 40,000 plus grand for a car you would expect it to be one colour

I better check it out then seeing I'm in that "older" category, lol. Although I agree velvet/cashmere interior would be my pref if buying today.

Just seen the channel 10 news a story on the 50 years of Falcon, the rocker or engine cover looked to be polished or painted in a high glossy silver, it was only a brief look under the bonnet..

Damn! Sunburst is HOT!!
Well done again Ford.

Edge must be that bronze/goldy colour then? I saw a 50th anniversary one on the back of a truck last week. Looks the same in the flesh as it does on the first article.

I have been told the pics above are not representative of the color at all.

To me, it seems the pics have been 'touched up' also? Seems overly saturated.

Correct, for mine the chip looked a lot brighter than that, like Redrum says need to see it on a whole car with your own eyes rather than camera shot..

I dont mind the sunburst colour, Definitely not sold on the wheels though The grey 5 spokes look much better

The XR part of the decal looks good. The 50 bit looks like a font from a commodore 64 . That being picky though

I've seen the Sunburst at a local dealer's. Awesome colour especially in sunlight, altough it does look a little brown in dull light. IMHO its very close to hero colour Holden used for the Monaro CV8Z in 2005, mind you I've obviously not seem them next to each other. Its the colour I'll be ordering.

nice that sunburst...colour is such a critical thing in car/ute purchase. I had two venom utes in a row..was looking for another colour with the FG, sore an FG XR6 in venom, and almost bought it! Love venom, but glad went nitro..but next ute...lightening strike with some nice chrome bits...mmmmm

What about the Turbo sedans?
Pricing is to be released tomorrow today or tomorrow, Ford pamphlets say between $40,000 & $42,000 drive away for the turbo Ute.

You will find the FPV Built S/C XR8 will be looked at differently compared to when it was a Ford built car, therefor pricing will take a hit also.
I suspect it will be priced between the XR6T and the GT, around $55K like the FPV GS...

While talking to my salesman, he verbally told me a manual Turbo 50th Ute is $38490 driveaway.... He's not 100% certain until he gets it in print, but if that true, thats incredible value!!!!
