Battery use is never down to android. It's always a rouge app running in the background or the phone constantly trying to find a network when reception is poor. On my week off I left my phone on the bench and didn't use it for 2 days. Wifi on but never touched and I was only down to 85%!

ICS now groups different things under the system display in the battery bit.. Can't remember what off top of my head but people assume its the operating system.

If your having problems after an update, might be worth backing everything up and doing a factory wipe. When using custom roms you must wipe the cache and dalvik files after a fresh flash. If you don't you usually end up with some quirky issues and a wipe solves it.

Wooo Hooo its out

Jesus:- The handset has a 4.8 inch (12.2cm) screen, an increase on the 4.3 inch screen of its predecessor.

Other features on the S3 include an 8 megapixel camera on the rear, and a 1.9 megapixel front camera for video calls

Will it be 4G for Aus though? - I know you can get the SII as 4G now

Smart Stay is the only (software) feature that looks interesting, wonder how long it'll take Apple to steal that one and their users to claim it as an Apple innovation.

I'll always welcome a larger screen. I'm still swayed towards the Note. Probably a few more months before my Desire contract expires so I can get a new phone and palm off my SGSII to the missus.

My HTC HD2 crapped itself last night, won't charge, I think the USB port is rooted, won't charge from the wall, won't charge in the car, thats two different chargers.

Looks like I have an excuse then

Ive been looking, but cannot find if this will be 4G and Quad-core...?
Has anyone read anything about this. In the US it might be like the HTC One-X with a dual-core CPU and LTE instead of a Quad-core.

Really keen to step away from my iPhone to this but only if it has 4G and a Quad-core.

I just picked up a s2 4g on monday as my old phone decided to go for a swim, i knew the s3 would be coming out but i couldn't justify paying an extra 20+ a month more for the phone when i got the s2 for only $5 more a month. also 4G rocks my socks!!! i live in geelong and i get it. it downloads a 4mb a sec

If I had the choice now I would pick the HTC One X.

However will stick with my S2 with 4.0.3 until my contract is up.

I saw it yesterday with the intention to get it but walked out with the HTC oneX. I wasn't overly impressed, it's taken the whole bigger is better a little to far. And found the HTC much more user friendly

Oh man. I'm so keen. Is the Telstra version 4G compatible? My internetting last night made it seem like there is no 4G version in Happy Down Underville yet.
