I'm guessing you will probably need a new chain after doing that?

Yes, you’re spot on. It wasn’t slicing through nearly as well near the end. I’ll be buying a new chain.

If so, they say the moment you touch the ground, the chain will be dulled instantly.

After some more axe work, the bottom part cracked into two, and I laid one chunk across the second one and made one more cut with the chainsaw to end up with 3 chunks that can all be easily lifted and carried to whatever it is that I get to take it all away. Maybe a skip bin.

SWMBO has received an invitation to a conference in Paris as a guest speaker for a medical conference.
It's for her work on pressure related injuries in ICU, which Wen and another colleague worked on for quite a while mainly in their own time and ended up being published worldwide in different medical journals. Now all we need to do is convince her to go! Terry aka Tbro |

Cant say a lot, but got to look over an incredibly low km example of Ford/Tickford history.... they really need to bottle the new car smell.

Ok, so it wasn't today, but IT DOES fit in with this chat.
Went down to Glenelg for lunch with my 'current sweet young thing' of the time. Walked past a pub on Jetty rd that had it's Bi-fold doors open and there was a poker machine... calling my name. I reached into the sky rocket, found me a dollar coin, inserted it, hit the play button.. It's starts makin all the right noises. $110 payout. Paid for lunch, and some fun times involving petrol afterwards. Can appreciate your feelings of having a 'WIN'. Good job. The best Lotto win I have had was $35. And I thought I WAS THA MAN..

Tossing up between the "Geez I hate that" and this one, and landed here. We had Dad's funeral today, he died at 82 years old and had a 23 year career as a police officer, starting in his mid 30's after a career in paint manufacturing. The service was conducted by a Police Chaplain, and we had a Deputy Commissioner attend to read his valedictory and the Police Ode.
I feel good because of the number of people who attended for Dad, of the number of members of my section who attended to support me. I also feel good that I didn't lose my shit while delivering the eulogy.
