A few years ago, my dog had a pretty bad skin issue. As part of the management regime, I got on to an Australian owned, manufactured and ingredients dry food. I've been using it ever since, afraid to take the dog off this regime in case the skin condition returns.

The only place I can get it locally, is the local dog shop. They're very nice people, willing to help out, and like a chat whenever I go in.

They also run a 'your 6th purchase of a particular product is free' program. I went in this morning to purchase another 13kg bag of the dry food, to find this was my free one. Gotta be happy with that.

Hard to know where to start, lets try this... from the beginning,

'she' casually mentions to me the her scissors have been stolen out of the car, which she forgot to lock, cause she was in a rush to get to the super market before COB that day.

I did everything I could to locate the 'said' missing pairs of scissors, and blow me down, I kept drawing blanks.. I talked to cash convertors, all the local pawn shops, I over extended my self and even did a Facebook Lost and found request, but alas, for love nor money, do you think I could find these? Nup. Missing...
then I tried to explain to her what has happened.
Yeah right, try doing that to the one who has a hairy thing...

And guess what?

Here they are in amongst my tools. Life is good again (for me)

can't wait to see the final score...

Gave the jazz a service today, it needed new plugs, which involved taking out the wiper cowell.
The daughter and her mate turn up just as I start twirling spanners, I looked like an absolute boss at that point.
And now I have renewed gratitude to Honda for their engineering in such a small package.

You just reminded me of a 2004 Hyundai Getz that I bought to flip a few years back.
It needed a new 'lump', and to replace it, you had to remove the wiper cowl.
Pretty bizarre for me at the time, as I was not a full time 'spanner twirler' at the time.
Glad they made it so easy, as from opening the bonnet to closing it took me just under 4 hours. Yes I had the use of a hoist in a workshop.
Another fun fact, that's when I found out the AEG cordless 1/2 inch drive impact guns are the bomb. It undid both the CV shaft nuts with out a whimper.
My past experience with CV shaft nuts has been using a 600mm fixed head braker bar, with a long length of pipe, and... a 2nd person inside car with foot of brake while having it in 5th gear. I love tech... sometimes.

Cheers,

One Mad Man

doing my last delivery today, I drove from Woodside down to Edinburgh parks. Hopped outta the truck, handed in my paperwork, went to get back in the truck and found old mate waiting for me.

Made My DAY!!

No, he (she) wasn't dead, just stunned. Hd both windoze open cranking along at a blistering 97kmp/h and guess he clipped the mirror, was stunned for a while, and I came to the rescue just in time to take a helping hand and a happy snap before he (she) flew away.

Happy stuff peoples..

Cheers,

One happy Mad Man

What? You wanna use OL mate for fishing NO! My next avatar.gif

Well today I had to minor wins. Went down to the BP scratch and go for my Saturday morning ritual car wash, and the guy wasn't there yet (7.05am). The bloke behind the counter says, "mate would you like a coffee on the house while you wait"?
I say, naaaah mate, don't drink coffee.. but I could use a free bottle of water.
Him "sure, no problem".So I scored a $3.50 600ml bottle of water. Tick. (I currently get 24 bottles at Woolies for $9.90).
I says: Oi, do you know what these guys make? (pointing to the label on the water bottle).
Him: "yeah, they make water".
Me: really? They make water do they? Are they God?
Him, argh, I see your point. Yeah, they make plastic bottles.
Me: Correct.

Nothing like a good rev up in the morning when having a pending date with some spanners (hell yeah!).

Next, went home to change the oil on the TURD. Found out I was short by about 4 litres. Bugga. Had a look at Auto Clowns and they had what I wanted for a Fiddy.

Cool.

Went down to get some and this was the result:

They had an "in store" special... meaning only at that exact store could you get 1 for $34 clams, instead of $$ Fiddy. Win. Tick.

Sure, I got 2, so now all I need for the next 5000km oil change is a filter.

Had a look at the recipe for the last filter I purchased from this store, and it was like $27..

Hmm, will be on Ebay later to hunt down a Wix filter for less than the Ryco I settled for this time.

Cheers.

Hope sumfin good happened to you guys to!
