With 28088 members with many varied backgrounds , attitudes , experiences and personalities , you are bound to get many varied replies . Also some people have different ways of expressing themselves .

A member who may post something "tongue in cheek" may seem derogatory to someone else , while others are a "little" straight forward .

On the Internet it is sometimes hard for some people to express themselves , while that same person who seems arrogant could be completely different Face to Face . Sometimes you have to read "between the lines" .

Yes , I think we are still a country with "freedom of speech" , I like to think that when I post , it's a "Personal Opinion" and if someone think's it's offensive or over the top there is one of two options , PM me for an explanation or contact a Moderator and have it deleted .

I have no problem with " what people have or have not " , my best mate & I were both in the same business and I decided to resign and have battled ever since , While the business evolved into a Mulit-Million dollar software importing business with a warehouse in NZ , Office's in Malasia , Canada , USA and the UK , but most of all , he's Still My Best Mate .

I'm 50+ and have been involved many different facits of business and if I can help even one person better themselves , I feel it has all been worthwhile .

GRNKPR , I hope I haven't hi-jacked your thread , but this is just my thoughts & opinions ,

Sorry for the "Novel" size of my reply , but the Internet and mainly this Forum (AFF) is my main contact with my Hobby and the Outside World .

A few weeks back there was a post about dodgy mechanics. I told a story of a problem I had with a suspension place. I was called an idiot and a fool and that Pedder's deserve me as a customer, etc. by a guy who had been going to this particular suspension place for about 15 years.

Sometimes if it is the only negative post , treat it with the respect it deserves and Ignore it . No response is sometimes better than a Confrontation/Being Flamed . Keyword = "patience" Lol

My daughter says if she see's someone come into work "looking Agro" , she treats them Extra Nice , really puts them off Give it a try here , everyone has different experiences at the same business , There's some businesses I don't go to here in town and yet my mates swear by them . Go where YOU feel comfortable .

one of the best posts ive ever read.
correct in every way.

i think the biggest prob is bolded above.
the internet is 'non-emotive', so while 1 person may post something that seems harmless, or even valid, is taken a totally different way by someone else, simply because the 'context' is was written in isnt visible...

an example was actually said to me just yesterday...
if u joke around with a mate and say 'u stupid idiot' in a funny way, then everyone laughs, but if u say the EXACT same 3 words in an aggressive way, and blow your top, then everyone gets agro...
but how do u tell which way it's intended to be taken when it's in text form on here..??

There will always be the forum member(s) who sit at their keyboards and delight in their skills at being antagonistic and inflammatory. They think they have an adoring audience who appreciate their low level of wit. This is the same member(s) who is incapable of providing any useful automotive knowledge, outside a Google search... usually because they are mechanically inept.

EVERYBODY should spend at least one weekend of their life at a well run nudist resort. I say one weekend, but I know it wont be the only weekend/holiday that will you have there.

Is it possible that you got this response because you said the business was now owned by "chockos" ?

You are surely not suggesting that I operate anything other than a family friendly business are you ?
Surely not another poster out of touch with reality ?
Perhaps you might care to do a little research before making incorrect "prudish" judgements about others chosen business activities in case you become one of those making false assumptions about others...
Naturally... no offence meant given you are a forum director with the power to control, whether correctly or otherwise.

Spoolman just cause they are nudist they still might have cars !!! also they might get better ET s at the drags as less weight in the car not wearing clothes ,How many tenths would we pick up dragging the 1/4 in the nuddy

great offer but i dont think they would operate any cars in the nude unless all safety guards are in place

After a day at the drags, there would be skid marks every where.
