I'll have to look over the collection or check out majesticvanners.com.au. There was one, but due to rust in the upper roof are was converted to a ute not long ago.

Makes me glad I once lived through better times than what we have now.
These days to feel old is merely to feel sorry for the current youth - that thought makes me sad. Not just downhill for me now, it's downhill for many people and many cars, regardless of age now. I mean look at this: Where the **** did we go wrong that this is OK?! Butchering a decent escort and falcon for that monstrosity is not OK |

The older kid that lived opposite us took ownership of his dads XC pano, in orange with blackouts. We used to get a lift to school in it and then when the son had it he decked out the rear with audio and spent every weekend washing it while blaring Back in Black over and over.... i wanted that car so bad and dad was looking for something similar....he ended up bringing home a friggin Bongo Van

best mate had a pano all decked out in the early 80s you know velvet and padding and big soft mattress in back, carved arch, full flight stereo, worked engine, sounded mean. he was only 18 was his first car.. the chicks loved it, the parents hated it, i wanted to own it so bad.
then one day shortly after his 18th birthday, he told me his girlfriend was pregnant... that van changed his life forever |

White, 179, Speco floorshift, 14x8 rear, 13x6 front mags.. Many hours spent decking the back out... Sides built from chipboard, upholstered in black vinyl with foam backing and matching softhead studded upholstery tacks in diamond pattern, 3 ply imitation teak sheeting for ceiling, 8 track in one side board with 4 speakers, EH prem seats for easy access from cab, Clark rubber matttess, red satin sheets and pillowcases... My then g/f worked p/time at Target, bought the material and made the curtains... red lace with black velvet backing. I remember picking her up from her parents one night, and her mum & dad came out to inspect their 17 yr old daughters curtain handywork... I’ll never forget their look of absolute horror, when I opened the tailgate!!!

Back in the mid 80's and first car was a Mk 2 Escort van, great little car. Cruising Hindley St with 9 people crammed in. 2nd car was a HJ with murals down the sides and tailgate, 245 and 265 T/As on magnums etc but unfortunately 202/3sp column shift and bench seat.
