I dunno, they kinda remind me of the luxes on the TV news driven by the Taliban with machine guns in the back

Had a look at one today at Pennant Hills Toyota, outside looks fine but that big screen in the dash looks like a aftermarket DVD/TV install, also it's a bit plastic/tacky around the screen.

We bought a run out SR5 Manual Diesel for 47k drive away. Could never bring myself to spend 60k on a "Ute".........

Drove the Auto CVT transmission, didn't like it. The manual has a very nice gear change. Anyone got a good deal on any of the models yet? I have a price of an SR with the Alloys and tow bar for possible $48K drive away so far.

48k With wheels and tow bar? That wouldn't be 4x4 diesel dual cab?

Yes that was for an SR Manual Dual cab. The SR only comes with steel wheels.

Sales people do tend to make things up as they go :-) that's pretty sharp driveaway price for SR diesel by the way. SR dual cab diesel manual RRP is $46490 + alloys and a towbar and onroads.

Seems remarkably cheap for a SR with alloys and tow bar. Probably could drive it for 12 months and lose hardly any money

Anyone that thinks that Toyota might have dropped the ball and built something less than there usual perfect range of Hiluxs will be disappointed. Toyota has been on top of there game now for years and nowhere else more so than there 4wd range. This Hilux will outsell Ranger due to the loyal following Toyota has. After all previous rangers were not as good as the Hiluxs of the same era. It takes time to build brand loyalty and Toyota has this in spades from there years of building tough 4wd's
