I have probably seen 15 to 20 I reckon. I don't even look twice anymore they look pretty boring at the front.
That back end on the sedan isn't too bad look.

I've seen a few now. Particularly keep seeing a black SV6 sporthatch.

IMO, the Calais V is nice, but I prefer the SSV with a spoiler and mudflaps (Yes, that's right). Saw one in town one day, blue, looked quite nice indeed. Certainly appears a more substantial car than the VE, but I still HATE the rear numberplate positioning.

The Utes and Sporthatches I don't like AT ALL. The 'old' VE styling in the rear end just looks so wrong with the VF front. It's like the front is new and the back is still 5-7 years old...

They're a nice looking car in the right spec.
Was surprised when I read the performance specs, which weren't that impressive to me (except the GTS, but that thing is hideous to look at, makes the E3 GTS look good ), and the Evoke's lack or torque really stood out to me. 290nm! My 'old' AU has 357nm!

This would be my sorta spec. Still, I'm keepin' my AU!

Agree with that pic however I think they could have tried better to integrate the DRLs kind of like what the 2014 Falcon looks to have done.
Still, much improvement over E3.

I was driving alongside a red sv6. I thought it looked sensational. From the side, rear and front. Kind of subtle but with presence.

Saw an orange SS and not impressed. Colour looks like a very poor imitation of Blood Orange and the gloss black bits all over the front look tacky. Not to mention the Epica headlights which were awful on that thing. Makes me wonder why Holden thought they would look good on a Commodore.

Back end less said the better. VE was a much better looker.

The front end has grown on me. Sort of subtle, DRLs have been integrated well, but that sedan rear end is simply hideous.

The Clubsport looks pretty good all in black, I've seen a few in our area. I don't mind the rear.

One of my co workers has a new Black Clubsport SV 340 interior looks stunning with the red seats and new dash, outside looks fairly plain imo don't think it's worth the 85K asking price.

Saw a truckload of the export SS's the other day complete with their chev badges also noticed they all had colour coded shark fin aerials fitted.

Calais looks quite classy in person (though the look is lost on the mismatching Sportwagon) - especially in black, while the SV6/SS seem to be a bit... bland for some reason... Haven't seen an Evoke yet.

HSVs? Well they're a damn sight better than the VE2, that's for sure! Still a poxy rear end, though!

Not a fan of the side indicator side chrome grill looking thing , but looking the front end look but it doesn't seem to suit the wagon so much still using the old VE rear end

Saw a black HSV Clubsport R8 SV at a dealer on Sunday.
Lucky they weren't open as I probably would have put a deposit down, it looked fantastic!

Yeah the American automotive media has basically just laughed at the VF styling, ao if it is designed for the States they did a terrible job and like with the VE exports to the USA they'll be getting redesigned bumpers. Hopefully a redesigned boot as well, I dont get why Holden seem to have tried to make the boot lid look as tiny as possible.

Hopefully they're slow so we dont have to look at the back end.

Some versions and colours seem to look better then others.

I will say this, the *** that looks like a G String just doesnt cut it.

When they were styling it, didnt they get a test group to see which one had the most appeal during the design process???

But as i said, some look fantastic in the flesh (performance ones), sound great for V8 fans out there as well.
but that ***, why o why o why o why o why

I tend to agree, I've seen Calais looking pretty decent on the road, yet saw another parked yesterday and it just didn't look good at all. A VERY colour dependent car.

Saw an orange VF SV6 today. I tried to look at it unbiased and with fresh eyes, but that orange colour is fugly as hell and seriously, it is one damn ugly car. I just cannot for the life of me see the appeal.

The random tacky chrome highlights, that dumb as hell stupid side vent and the tacky gloss black on the front looks well... tacky.

It looks okay from the side until you see that horrendous front and rear. What were they thinking? It is just not a nice looking car. Blends in well with all the **** house boring jelly bean-o looking asian cars it's trying so hard to be.

Thanks!

Its embarrassing to read on here how many Ford "fans" actually think the VF looks good. We have the best looking cars hands down, yet some are tempted to be seen in a bloated cheap looking Hyundai lookalike because of a couple features. I would not be seen dead in one.

Stazza,

There is a difference between "looks good" and "best looking". I personally do think the VF HSV's look good but I'm not tempted to go out and buy one.

Yep.

Comparing a stock standard car to one that is modified is hardly comparing apples with apples.
