Its still just the minority of Holden drivers that are hoons, its just that as we all know there are more Commodores on the roads then there are Falcons which makes for a larger number. Plenty of ******** Falcon drivers out there as well.

I had an AU falcon just reverse out in front of me from their driveway, and I am in an XR6T-bright orange mind you. He could have reversed next to the gutter, but decided to come out onto the lane, so I went around him.

I was in the wrong apparently.

Yes. I have to agree with this statement.

I have put it down to the fact that their "manhood" are yet to drop.
Once that happens, they see the error of their ways, bail out of their V8 Commodores and step into a mans car, a Ford, albeit a Fiesta but a Ford nonetheless, pre-owned by a female apprentice hairdresser who obviously initially had a great deal more to fill the front of her underpants then the usual young male "P" plate Commodore driver, not to mention that she has better fashion sense as she knows which way a cap should sit on your head.

Just what I've come up with anyway.

Sorry guys to take the wind out your blue sails

Plenty of ****** ford drivers out there. PLENTY
In fact its usually the ones in the I6 older type but some newer.
I6T and V8 seem fine most of the time.

SUV Drivers, ppl movers and company cars seem to be the worst.
Expecially Hilux, Rangers, BMW X Series and Mercs.

Seem to be in a major rush with no regard to fellow road users.
Their lives must be more important then us other folk.

EDIT
And P Platers in Honda variants.

I see plenty of Falcon drivers doing the wrong thing.

It doesn't matter what they drive, it's a lack of experience, the feeling of invincibility and cockiness that comes with being a young man.

It's funny, the people my age I talk to about cars, fortunately none of us had any serious accidents, today we all drive cars with 3 or 4 times the power of our first cars, yet all drive relativity sedate these days.

It's maturity.

Just saw this on Police Facebook thingy

NSW Police Force 2013.067.06 1402
Two men have had their drivers licences suspended after allegedly being caught doing more than 50km/h over the speed limit in separate incidents in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

About 9:55pm (Friday 5 July 2013), Highway Patrol officers were patrolling the Camden Valley Way at Prestons when they allegedly detected a blue Ford Falcon Typhoon travelling above the speed limit.
Police will allege the Ford was detected travelling at 129km/h in a 70km/h limit..

The driver, a 44-year-old Wentworthville man, was stopped and issued an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.

In a separate incident, about 11:35pm, Highway Patrol officers were patrolling the eastbound lanes of the M5 at Moorebank when they allegedly detected a blue Subaru Impreza WRX travelling above the speed limit.

Police will allege the Subaru was detected driving through a roadwork’s construction zone at 146km/h in a special 80km/h zone.

The driver, a 34-year-old Banksia man, was stopped and also issued an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.

Both men have now had their licences suspended for six months while the infringement notices carry a $3331 penalty and the loss of six demerit points.

Eh anybody says 'its these cars' or 'these utes' or 'these SUV's...you can't categorize. Where you live, demographics, bias, all give perception. But....

If there is a twit with the dollars, they'll spend it on what they can afford. If they're inclined to drive like a idiot, they will do so. Ford, Holden, Toyota, Goggomobil, Mighty Boy.

Now how about we stop pasting tags on people and have a nice reasonable conversation.

My fav story was last year in Rockvegas.... after lining up at the lights beside a 317 maloo ute for the umpteenth time and consistantly ignoring him i finally got to a set of lights near the train tracks on the north side where there was no traffic around us ...

The lights went green, he took off sideways AGAIN at a great rate of knot's ... i took off in reverse...

By the time he realised i had done a scando flick in reverse and removed myself from his infintile display for the final time, he had already blasted past a Blue Vitto that looked like a speed van while doing at least twice the speed limit...

After my missus and i finished our lunch we retraced our steps and sure enough it was indeed a speed van and no more sign of the tool in the maloo... i had a great day.

a memorable moment when i was a young boy in Dad's brand spankin new white EF Futura.

at the lights pulls up a car full of goons in a VH V8 commodore bug catcher hanging out the bonnet. Lights go green, and mr commodore roars into life, Dad floors it much to the surprise of us kids & especially mum who's giving him an earful the entire time.

after 100m he backs off and lets mr commodore float past & mumbled "what a piece of ****".......... probably the first time i ever heard him swear, let alone give his car any pedal

What?

A commodore driver owner stole a Typhoon?

Obviously he was dazed and confused by smooth power instead of noise and vibration and did not realise he was going that fast.....

To prove my point, just saw this, happened in Perth last night.

"POLICE believe a Holden Commodore was involved in a hit-and-run outside a Beechboro tavern 15 minutes before it slammed into a nearby house.
Several emergency calls were made to police after a 30-year-old man was hit by a vehicle outside the Beeches Tavern on Altone Rd about 11pm Friday night. "

He's smart enough to know the 5L were the car worlds answer to Harley Davidsons; make a lot of noise but are slow and unreliable.

Gotta reply. No I am not, and never have been a hoon. Was too poor, couldn't afford the tyres (or petrol) to give the car a blast - anytime.

Drove Valiant, then Ford as a young'un.
But, made mistakes as a 17yo, mistakes that a few meters left or right could have spelt the end of me, or my passengers, or the innocent dude in the other car.

In every case, never was speeding the fault, but inexperience. Wet roads, bad judgement, over estimating the ability of the car, driving whilst (very) tired.

The experience a lot of kids get these days is on Xbox, PS etc. You can bump a car, hit a tree or whatever, no prob. Drive on curbs, run down pedestrians - who cares - as long as you get to the next time stage.

I've tried (and I'm no gamer, I'm 50 for crying out loud) racing what was the latest F1 'game' on PS. Turned all the damage/manual stuff up to max. Struggled to get out of the main straight.

One thing I've liked about the FF, is that most of the comments are against hooning. No place on the public road. Maybe go deep dark country, or go to a public track night.

Cheers.

It's seems to be a common misconception with 5 litre commodore owners that they are quicker than the I6

My 12 year old son won't let me have ANY fun AT ALL when he's with me. He act's so responsibly while I'm driving that it annoys me. He still kicks the odd chair in his classroom occasionally though. ---------------------------------My latest laugh came thanks to a commy sedan parked in the main st' of Ulverstone. P plates displayed and the poor thing had it's suspension 'removed' I think....couldn't see the shadow the bumper was casting on the ground!. Then 3 scruffy teen bogans crossed the road & got in it. I wasn't at all surprised! Thanks to all the commy hoons out there, keeping the cops busy so we FORD's can play. LOL

I had a fellow in a Madza Sp something or other try me on along Victoria Road at Rydalmere one Sunday morning a couple of years back.

He spent a few set of lights trying to get my attention.

He’d pull out in front then back off to let me catch up and then give it a boot full again.

To say I thought he was nuts with the family on board is an understatement.

After taking off at a couple of lights continuously accelerating and slowing down, an unmarked car put the siren on and pulled him over.

I don’t think it’s got anything to do with who’s got the biggest dick, it’s more a case of who is the biggest dick.

I don’t get the offer to run very often and when I do I usually just gently take off with a friendly smile and let them go for it.

I do say usually as I will freely admit a few times over the years I have given in to temptation.

When I do, I always feel like a fool.

Traffic light duels prove nothing, you never really know if the other player is serious or not.

All I know for sure is if any other road users see me race someone from the lights, they definitely will be seeing me as an idiot.

These days that embarrassment alone is enough to stop me from taking the challenge.

And on topic I don't mind a quick squirt here n there safely but as soon as that keen looking Hsv in the mirrors or at the lights pulls up beside the G6et.....95 percent just go soft and won't have a go. Now that's some educated Holden fans for you lol

im aware of this. just the randomness of dad willing to give it a go, and my 7th day adventist mum screaming at him to stop was the highlight.

also the passengers in the commodore were having a laugh too. I dont think anyone expected the new appliance white EF to dish out the smackdown
