There's only 2 models of the Falcon which when I saw for the first time my jaw dropped.
In 1972 when the XA Coupe came out and it took another 30 years to feel that again when the BA came out. The XD/XF as well the E series I didn't like in the beginning but they grew on me, especially the EF/EL. The rest I never warmed to in the looks department. I'd have to go with the XA or XB Coupe as it still looks the goods 40 years on . Time will tell if the BA still looks good in 30 more years.

Is the falcon actually dead or just the manufacture of a unique falcon for our market. Will they rebadge another car with some changes and call it a falcon using a different falcon. Im sure the question is which is the best looking Australian built falcon. I love the XA, XB coupes but also the b Series and dont mind the XY

It is a bit of an enigma for their marketing as although FALCON has a strong following the vast majority of the most rabid supporters, the ones who would be most upset by a FWD or AWD Falcon, do not buy new vehicles anyway so they will have zero impact on a new era other than a lot of anonymous ranting and raving on internet forums..... Oh and my favorites, BA2 F6, BA GT-P & XC2 Panelvan |

I have a soft spot for the early birds... An XM Futura Hardtop is a beautiful thing.
The XA/XB hardtops will always be on the top of my list as will the XE's and BA/BF's. FG's never did it for me really.

I may be a bit biased but the good old XY GTHO 3 box car always looks killer when parked next to any of the later model variants, never before or after have simple stripes and blackouts been done so well on an Australian car imo.

all the x series from xr to xc really look killer in their own way and the memories they evoke. for me however of the box cars, the xw in gtho2 form sitting pretty on 5 slots and aquajets just look fast and angry standing still, let alone idling. xa gt coupes also look menacing as well

AU XR and T Series range for me for the late model stuff.
XR/XT Falcons for the early stuff.

Sorry Hulk but because of your intense dislike of the AU, it has to be my pick.
Cheers Vincenzo

Agreed I do love the coupes but also the AU XR is up there and got my support as there is so much irrational hatred of the AU

Entire EF range including LWB (NF & DF). BA Falcon. After seeing an AU and not comprehending how it could ever be proportionally fixed, Only Ford AUS could turn an AU into a BA, almost as a good as water into wine.

The EL was the las falcon to have that tough 3-box muscular look too it. The way the C-piller flows down to the wheels, nice pumped guards. Its magic. Genuinely surprised that the XB was represented over the XA...

Depends on the model, but two standouts for me are the EL XR8 and the XA GT Coupe/sedan.

Funnily enough I find I love almost all the falcon range, even when I havnt initially liked them the first time I saw them, they certainly have grown on me to the point where I have bought one.
