Are you kidding?
Simmons wheels are the coolest...the B45 is an absolute classic, especially in polished form, and it's a travesty and crime against humanity that they aren't still made in modern sizes. |

IMO the price is $500 for the rims and then you add the tyre on the rim.
I would think you would be better off just selling the rim and not the tyres. |

And us Baby Boomers . $1,200.00 is MORE than fair , may have to come down to $1,000.00 to let the buyer have the satisfation of " beating " you but I would not go much below that to be honest .

Is anyone else old enough to remember just what a stir Tony Simmon created when he released these wheels back in the 70's ? And is anyone also old enough to remember Mawer composite wheels before Simmons ?

Since I'm asking (slightly) less than half, I'm relatively confident they'll sell. Now....... Where should I advertise? |

If your wheels are in good nick theyre easy worth 1200, prob more.
I know because I was looking for a good set for a long time.. Theyre very much in demand I had someone offer me 2.5k for my 9's and 10's without tyres , he said the same thing... hard to find a good set for ford stud pattern. The guy offering you the crumbs must be looking ant commo simmons, theyre dirt cheap because theyre everywhere...

Oh my god...my favourite mag of all time...the polished B45. Nothing suits a classic Aussie car...from any one of the Big Three of the seventies...than those things.

I just think the size is the problem. No one wants 15's or 16's anymore, especially with rears only 8 inches wide.
But its a fair price and if you wait they'll sell. |

The white one has no engine at the moment, I will be tidying it up and transfering the running gear from my yellow one into it. Which is pretty much near a race modified 3.9 v8 (revs to 6500), has about 300hp. Weighs 1000kg. White one has rollcage, adjustable camber, height etc susp, 4.11 LSD, big AP racing brakes etc etc...

Great Old-skool Aussie wheel from back in the day. I could only dream of owning a set as they were always expensive. Twelve hungee is a fair price for what is now a collectable wheel.

Stripped down my F90's and got the centers 22 crt gold plated. When ever I take it out I always get asked about the wheels. Simmons are are timeless wheel that always seem to hold their value.
I would love you B45's , they look wicked with the centers painted the same as the car's duco. Don't give them away. |
