It's a fresher look than the outgoing model, I can see Navara from the front and Hilux at the rear.
The 6 speed manual has bought it inline with other new models but the auto and engines are looking like a step up over current offerings from other brands.

It looks great but the first thing that came to my mind was that it looks very similar to a Hilux in everything bar the front end.

Still, I like it and would consider one if I needed a 4WD.

Yeah agreed. I've got a feeling they went softer on this car because they didn't want to tread on the f truck style and that apparently we and others in the region prefer some curves.

US pickups look way better. The t6 is a nice overall package though.

Is it just me or does it look better when it isn't as shiny as it is at the SMS?

Sure is.

I like most of that, the front bumper looks a bit out of place. Nothing that cant be fixed with a good bullbar though.

The Mazda has a better looking interior (IMO), but the outside has missed the mark.

Ford one has a better looking exterior, seems to look a lot more rugged.
Interior of the Ford though isn't quite as neatly set out as that of the Mazda.

Good job though, hope it takes the fight up to the Hilux.

Ford marketing should do a comparison between the Hilux and Ranger and make it public.

There will be, I'm just now reading the detail from the press releases (page 1)

Just watched the video. Why have a CGI clip at the end instead of the actual reveal?

Other than that it sounds good. Did I here payloads of up to 1.5T? How much can it tow?

Looks great, love the bigger body too and 470nm of torque. 3.2m wheelbase, gee thats a big boy. Bet it will be the best ute in the class.

But aaaarrrrgggh, why cant any of these utes ever have seperate H4 high-beam lights like a Falcon or Commodore?? Spotties would need to be the first upgrade on this I think.

UGLY. It has a surprised look, front and back. Surprised by its own ugliness, perhaps.

I 've also noticed that cheaper cars always come with single globe dual filament headlight arrangement -except dual cab utes are not exactly cheap.
I think they do it because not many people notice it and car companies love to cut costs. Too bad that these are likely to be used out of city fairly often and headlights will need an upgrade. Not good enough when you are forking out 50k.

In the Dubai vid..

"We know customers in this region drive at very high speeds so we have done some V-Max testing.."

Not what you would expect on a diesel 4x4.
