In response to the Emu Export bottle.. If the picture of the brewery had a smoking chimeny on it then it would be worth more. They took it off the label as it had a bad look and is now considererd a classic label.

That's not a sixpack mate. Sixpack in the car sense refers to the number of throats in our throttle bodies. Thus the sixpack Charger was a sixpack because of the three dual throat Webers adding up to six, and the American V8 Sixpacks were thus called due to having a bank of three dual throat Holleys.

i'm not one to turn to the intraweb for the ultimate truth, but there are a lot of websites that disagree with your statement above... beer does in fact have limited shelf life. your home brew has most likely gone through a different preparation process than packaged beer and therefore it is meant to stay bottled for longer. packaged beer is meant to be drunk as fresh as possible for the best taste. the bulge on one of the cans in question is proof of the effects of time on packaged beer.

but apart from websites, i have personally tasted beer from a couple of cartons whose only fault was that they had been sitting around for a couple of years... i had to throw it all out as it tasted like crap.

Not arguing or anything, but my brother had a carton of XXXX gold (stubbies) sit in his cupboard for 18months before he chucked them in the fridge. He actually gave me one as a joke because he figured they would be no good, but they turned out to be the best XXXX i've ever had.

(the rest were drank very quickly after that!)
