My car's names tend to be The, followed by a brief, often abbreviated, description of what it is by badge.

So currently, my car's name is "The RSC."

Aprt from the XR6 we also have two 80 series landcruisers:
1 - is named David
2 - is named Goliath
They were named for their obvious size difference as one is standard and the other is raise up with all the 4wd gear on it

Show name is 'Gator'......cause the colour is 'Everglade'.

Generally though it's either 'the Ghia', or "You piece of......" when things aren't going right

The GT gets called Minty (Rego is Mint GT)
The XR gets called.... The XR or The Green one (doesn't work well when both cars are green).
The F-100 gets called loads of names - The Tank, F-1, The Effie, Thirsty #$%@, Gutless wonder (when it had the 302) Shag'n Wag'n..... list goes on.

I call mine either 'bluey' or 'the ute'

I have a mate with a ea falcon which was called 'the coon' (came from 'falcoon'), but he now has a EL monty, which is called "the colonel' (came from 'coon-el')

And another mate who has a torana called 'rex' (came from torana-saurus rex)

Cheers
