OMG Ford and Holden are outdoing themselves here, we've now got Supercar SUV's. People from overseas that pick up on the selection of HI-PO muscle we have to choose from must be beside themselves with envy. :

It pains me to say it but that wagon looks awesome! I would easily go the Calais V with the 20's and to think there is a good chance ford will just have another bus with only the 6 cylinder Futura as top spec, God help us in the blue camp. Talking about god helping us, please help us from that hideous Maloo, the back looks like it was styled by Ssangyong.
As for the F6 X, Bloody awesome, the interior looks brilliant and i love the look of those rims (They would have to be 22" or something, definitely not just 19")

That Maloo has the ugliest rear I have seen on any car (bar the stavic). Once again, Holden fans will counter by saying "It's Aggressive!".
Don't particularly like the front of that Territory either. Blackening the insert looks a bit cheap. I was hoping for a more FPV look - this doesn't look bad, just not good either. I don't think it has enough changes done from the Turbo Tez. Should at least have a different bumper.

As for that Maloo, what a shame, the rear bar is hotness, the lights are ridiculous; shouldn't have touched them.

I thought more effort would be put into the styling of the FPV Territory, sure it's an improvement over the Ghia Turbo, but it still looks stale.

Why did they leave so much clean surfaces on the VE Maloo? It could do with a vent or two behind the doors. also some roof scoops, more plastic mouldings here and there. and only 4 exhausts pipes? you cant accuse the HSV styling dept. of trying too hard can you.

I agree, I'd hate to try and fit anything in the back without folding the seats up. What about the familes with 3 kids going on holidays? 4 suitcases, 2 Duffel Bags, pillows, Camera bags, tripods, Presents for family down south, anything else they'd normally take.. Good luck fitting any of that in there.
Looks great for the non-family type, but then why would you buy the wagon?

The blackouts look cheap, and it shows FPV have put all of about 10 minutes thought into the exterior of the car. It has no clear link to the other fpvs. Where's the unique fpv bodykit for the Territory. The problem with the Territory turbo is there is nothing aggressive about it bar the bonnet scoop, you can't even tell it's a performance SUV unless you see it from the front. That F6X looks like what the Territory Turbo should, it just looks like a ford (like that XR6 Aggressor) not a performance arm model. And yes, the territory was a great looking car back in 2004. Getting a bit long in the tooth now - and is just looking boring - i would suggest you're the fanboy that loves anything as long as it wears a blue oval. And what's wrong with a power upgrade in a car that's not a Falcon. The Territory will not get a serious upgrade for a long time, so what's wrong with a bit more power in a car that's heavier than the engine's donor car? |

What a fat Plastic Pig of a Ute : Wonder where all the water will go when you open the hard cover in the rain? On the other hand that wagon looks smart. Holden has really spanked Ford's with there wagons. They have copied a lot of Audi's design and there is some styling cues from the 300c wagon as well.

Holden spank Ford in the Wagon department and we spank them in the Territory department. Every time I see a Craptiva on the road I think to myself and wonder what actually posessed someone to choose one of those Korean crap boxes over an Aussie built Territory.

[QUOTE=Bossxr8]The problem they have is the limited number of sales it will bring, being the most expensive car in the range, sales will be limited to a few hundred per year, not enough to justify spending big dollars on new bumpers, bodykits etc. They would need to sell a lot more of them to justify those costs.
lol I just spent a very, very long time typing out about the maloo until a realised what you were talking about - the F6X. Perhaps they could have done something with the foglights, or have putt a chrome insert into the lower intake (like the other FPVs). I was under the impression that this would be called the Tempest. If this isn't, what will be......

The Maloo looks alright, but previous models look better. IMO
I'm not much of a wagon person, but I love the new Commie wagon. |
