Oh dear God. This light bulb above my computer desk blew last night while I was wasting time on AFF and I’ve been to lazy to change it.
Can anyone out there please give me some technical advice on how to do this? Should I change it to a HID or a Xenon globe? Any advice welcome.

Thats it! I'm not buying light bulbs from my usual manufacturer anymore if there changing to that configuration..... It's just not right....The old design is an icon and should remain. The old design was much smoother, They say this configuration may be more powerful but it might just be all torque. |

And one member to recall seeing the old style of bulb back in 1974, they were 'real' bulbs back then and all newer bulbs are soft by comparison.
